You better tell AP and NG that then. This season has only been tough because of the points deduction and the fact the it took 2 months for the team to gel and get last seasons losing mentality out of their system. Without that we would have ****ed it this season, along with Norwich.

I said to my brother in the car on the way home, that 100 should be the points target next season (after hearing that Ipswich's late equaliser had denied Newcastle of getting there yesterday).

I looked out of interest, how many times had we won 22 games in a single season (obviously the majority of seasons we have been involved in, have been 38 game or 42 game) and we have only equalled it 9 times previously (post war) and only twice managed to beat it (26 winning Div 3 in '59/60 and 24, finishing 3rd in Div 3 [south] in '54/55). We could end up 7th winning 24 games which would be astonishing TBH.

Just a mention for Semi. He has taken some awful (unjustified IMO) stick on here, over the period he's been at Saints but I thought he was excellent yesterday. Hammond would have been my MoM, followed by Antonio but Semi wasn't far behind.

A very positive interview yesterday. AP was obviously disappointed that the play-offs have now gone but said he thought all the players he wanted to stay will be staying and they all wanted to have Champions on their respective CV's. He said he had never won a championship before as player or manager and that's what he intends to put right next season.

He grabbed it after the ref had blown for the free-kick to stop the Carlisle player taking it before anybody else got back (like the Arsenal CL one).

Just by chance I have found that we do have coverage of NRL in this country on Sky Channel 433 "MSK". On live at the moment (Fox Sports coverage) is Melbourne Storm v NZ Warriors. Melbourne are stuffing them at HT 22-0, even though, in effect, they have nothing to play for.
