  1. I see the Android is meeting the PFA to assure Gordon Taylor that the players will continue to be paid and on time. Taylor makes me sick TBH. He was on yesterday saying don't blame the players, short career blah blah! Aaron Ramsay injury blah blah! The PFA should be abolished and a new association, that looks after the everyone in the football industry, from Tea Lady to middle management, to make sure that EVERYBODY gets paid and on time. And in these circumstances get their redundancy and pensions secured, instead of just the multi-millionaire players. The might also take some responsibility to their members in making sure that if they sign for clubs on these bloated contracts, they are aware of the club's ability to pay for them.
  2. So they can only sell 17.000 home tickets for the FA Cup QF and yet they've sold less than 16,500? They really are superb fans.
  3. Especially as there will be 3,000 Brummies there.
  4. Apologies if already mentioned but why the delay between phase 2 ending (Saturday afternoon) and phase 3 starting (next Wednesday morning)?
  5. Everything the Android fella says is absolute horsesh!t!! Seems he partakes of the same truth serum as Storrieteller.
  6. It's never really been Saints' strong suit, whichever era one looks at.
  7. It isn't, but the playoffs would affect the build up and possibly damage the pitch (I presume UEFA take ownership for the whole week leading up to the game). The playoffs are generally in the 3 day long spring bank holiday weekend but recently one of the three has been played the previous weekend.
  8. We won't need the playoffs next season. Going up automatic.
  9. The fans blamed him for being a greedy b@stard and chasing the money when he signed for us rather that them. They gave him loads of stick up there and were singing "Lambert what's the score?" at 3-1. He gave them a bit back, that's all.
  10. No and I dare say my Subbutteo days of the late 70's, where we regularly got into double figures, do either.
  11. Ah, the Fez and the Kazoo!
  12. Is the idea for everybody to take one to Wembley, like the Tubes' cardboard cut-outs from Soccer AM?
  13. Didn't realise that he became our second youngest ever player (behind Theo), per Roger Johnson on South Today.
  14. From Down at the Mac HTFC message board: Re: Stewards at Southampton Fecking jobsworths .. Worse than ours IMO .. Punching a Pompy fan and scragging him out by his neck !! -------------------------------------------------------- And how many of them FFS.I counted 14 Stewards in orange coats and 3 police.Unbelievable and well OTT.Total jobsworths and paid hooligans. -------------------------------------------------------- honestly think that we should write letter of complaint about this, was disgusting behaviour by them. one black steward threw a punch at one point, i saw it. the stwarding was nothing short of a disgrace

  16. Lol. Storrie's emptied the piggy bank.
  17. They will not and never were going to give us more than the 44,000. The empty sections apart from the Club Wembley blocks are in the upper tier above the Carlisle fans.
  18. Also, both players can cross with their "wrong" foot, therefore don't have to constantly cut back inside and curl their crosses straight into the keepers hands.
  19. The Macclesfield manager has passed away (aged 53). Died after his club's match last night. Was only being interviewed on Sky about John Rooney at the weekend. And praised for his abilities to run a club on a shoestring. RIP
  20. Made me laugh. Hell of a lot of travelling between Wellington and Silverlake.
  21. Oh Oxy-Oxy! Oxy-Oxy-Oxy Oxlade-Chamberlain!
  22. I can certainly relate to that post because thought exactly the same.
  23. The addition of Barnard and Puncheon has given the team much more balance and Al now doesn't feel he has to chase around looking for the ball and trying to make something happen. He can now stay out wide left and know that he will get the ball if it is going up that flank or can come in narrow, now we have genuine width and pace on the right and we attack that side.
