  1. It was £7.50 to ST holders on the night (with proof). The £15 walk-up charge for non ST adults was/is a bit steep for this competition and I'm sure they'd have had even more if they had kept it at a tenner.
  2. I agree. You get no more value from a 30 yard screamer than you do for a ricochet off somebody's left buttock. At least with scruffy goals, players are getting into positions in to the areas where they can cause panic/damage.
  3. No flack from me! I agree with just about all of that.
  4. What Dia or the Facebook page?
  5. They had the editor from 442 in the SSN studio this morning and asking him about the blue few's new owner and he said that he would have made the list if they were able to find out anything about him and ratify his "wealth".
  6. I wonder if he will last longer at Lincoln than Forecast did at neighbours Grimsby?
  7. Don't think he's played anywhere near as well this season. Maybe it's because he was our best player by such a distance last season that mediocre performances stick out.
  8. Lol! MLT leading player 1 with nearly 60% and also leading players 2,3 and 4.
  9. Yes but unfortunately he wasn't fit enough!!
  10. Nick Holmes was much more of a Left or Central midfield player than a full-back.
  11. Probably true TBH. Without the anti Lowe songs they've got nowt to sing about!
  12. Yes but he didn't because it's given to Waigo on the Football League stats. See edit of post #2.
  13. Yes but only because of the position financially and league wise we were in. The others may well have passed through if we were languishing in the second tier and with bugger all money.
  14. Not here for long but Gareth Bale wasn't bad. Derek Statham was a decent player for us as well, even if he was slightly past his best by the time he signed.
  15. Me too, whilst backpacking in Thailand but that was late '80's when at least we had a half decent team.
  16. On Saints' twitter today somebody pointed out that during last night's Charley Boorman programme. Travelling through Papua New Guinea one of the guy's in the background was wearing a Saints shirt. It's a pretty naff copy/fake but a Saints shirt all the same.
  17. What is wrong with using Mellis's name and yes, until Saturday I hadn't been that impressed by him (he's 18 years old FFS) but he was much better against Gills and was unlucky not to score when he hit the post and made both of Lallana's goals. With everyone fit I wouldn't have Wotton nor James in the team let alone as the CM engine room. They certainly wouldn't be more creative.
  18. The difference between this 4-3-3 and the formation we were playing last season, was that when we were attacking down the flanks (left or right) the other wide player would tuck in and was joined by Mellis. We therefore mostly had 3 players in the box and 3 options to pick out. Last season we had McGoldrick or nobody and more often than not, it was nobody.
  19. Yes well!!! This doesn't exactly help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Baker_(footballer_born_1961). Played mostly right-back in the eighties!! Understudy to Mick Mills and Ivan Golac mostly.
  20. Played for the U-18's at West Ham on Saturday (as did Martin for that matter).
  21. From the OS. Pardew wanted to name an unchanged side but "Mellis goes on international duty today, and Adam Lallana has reported in with a knock."
  22. Mmmm! Had Kidney operation on Friday, fit to fly from Dubai to London on Sunday!

  24. Funny how Al Fahim was in London today at the Premier League, when he was supposed to be in hospital awaiting a kidney stone operation.
  25. I like Friday night games and have got used to them, going to Rugby League regularly. It gives you the unique atmosphere of mid-week under lights football but at the start of the week-end and a perfect start to a session in the pub, afterwards.
