Jimmy Redpath spraying SFC on the pillars beneath the M32 flyover which almost cut across one corner of the ground. The flyover is of course still there but the ground (apart from the floodlight pylons) long been turned into IKEA!!

Shhh!! They probably think that's who they're getting.

Actually thought it was the other way round. Mills swinging in the ones on the right and Lallana ones on the left.

Derby and Swindon are the only 2 teams I can think of the may have 7 straight Premier League games but we held the record of 5 at the start of a season.

Disagree with this. If anything there are at least 2 others that merit such a honour. Terry Paine for his never to be beaten 815 appearances and Mick Channon for his unlikely to be beaten 228 goals.

They do have a statue of him, which I believe he unveiled himself!!

Noooooo!!! That's a secret!!!

Blimey, I didn't think even a Skate could spout out a dozen facts about Saints and get everyone of them wrong. What a drongo!!!

Club answers beer pricing/disabled fans travelling

TBF It's not much different in other new stadia around the country. Certain brewers (Carlsberg/Tetley in our case) bid to be 'partners' in the project and they fit out the bars areas etc at their cost, in return for exclusivity of drink supplies and long-term franchise contract. I would be surprised that the original contract was as long as 10 years but presumably the longer the contract, the more Carlsberg/Tetley paid the club (and by the club, in this case, I suspect it would come under SMS Ltd.). I don't think the club would have much say in what CT charge for their 'refreshments' and only a small percentage would actually go into the clubs coffers. -
Hopefully this competition (and playing at that level) will give him the confidence to do so!!

I suspect it was a 5 year contract which was renewed for a further 5. Hopefully up for tender at the end of this season. -
Maybe we should play him as the 'fox-in-the-box'? He was lethal from 2ft out!!!

It would explain why we have hardly been able to string more than a couple of wins together over the last 3 years but of course, we do have a lot of new players this season and if it's any of them then the argument is not so valid. Maybe because AP told KD he was the best captain he'd worked with, KD didn't see the need to give the rest a kick up the @rse.

Nah. they're still at Wellington and I'm sure Soton Uni get a nice little rental income from them too!!
-
I'd go there but because they're in the Premier League they are always sold out and you can't get a ticket for love nor money!!! Oh apparently I wrong.....Sorry!!!
-
TBF they need to give tickets to all their ex-players otherwise their attendance would struggle to top 10,000.
-
I was thinking the exact opposite. After all the shyte we've been through over the last few years, it is truly refreshing that we can talk about taking the 'new generation' to the game, whereas last season most of us couldn't even be arsed to take ourselves.
-
I've got that too but I suspect that more than just Nick Holmes head is missing from mine.

I believe when we did the Hummell deal, Hummell UK were owned by Spurs. and they took over the club shop as a franchise. I think Hummell UK went bust and were bailed out by Wembley Leisure (similar to Canterbury UK now being owned by JD) and they took over the existing franchises (Dell shop being one). I may be wrong but that is how I remember it.

Was reported on SSN but not in any real detail.

From the posts so far, it would be somewhat one-sided!
