Here's a question then: Would you rather get promotion this season, scraping into the play-offs in 6th place by winning the last regular game or next season, storming the division and winning the L1 Championship? This season would obviously have the added advantage of a day out at Wembley and although you do win a trophy as play-off winners, finishing 6th would have a somewhat hollow ring to it IMO. Given our lack of actual bona fide trophies won over the years (never won the championship of either top 2 divisions), I'd prefer actually wining the title next season to enable us to put something 'real' next to the samurai sword.

Confidence plays a massive part in maintaining a winning run. and the more results we can string together the more confidence and so on..... It's self perpetuating. The trouble is we have been on a downward spiral for so long now that we can hardly remember being in that position. The last time I can remember us going on such a run was when we made the dash for the play-offs.

Off the top of my head, I don't think any of them played for us in the Premier League. Pretty sure Maskell, Speedie and Dixon were pre-PL and BWP only played for us in CCC.
