  1. Another shout for this one. He had a shocker and it was s bizarre OG he scored. Then watching him step up to take the first pen in the shootout, I just knew we were toast.
  2. Pickford was only 21 when he broke into the Sunderland first team, having had previous loans at lower League clubs including Bradford, Preston and Burton. Simply being young doesn't preclude a keeper from being decent.
  3. All of which brings us to another of the numerous things that are wrong with America - their environmental regulation in many areas is non-existent, which is hardly surprising when you consider that Big Donnie appointed the former CEO of an oil company as head of the EPA.
  4. Well unless I've missed it, the predicted resignations haven't materialised, which means either nobody on the govt payroll voted against Johnson (and thus 75% of the backbenchers did), or some of them did but they are too cowardly to admit it and resign as they would be expected to.
  5. Not sure what Pickford was doing there. It's like he dived out of the way.
  6. Ask yourself - could you imagine this happening in the UK? 3 cops telling a vulnerable person that they're "not jumping in after you" and then just standing there watching him drown? In answer to the question "what is wrong with America?", one answer that springs to mind is that, in some states at least, Police officers get less training than fucking hairdressers do before being unleashed on the public.
  7. Watched Matrix: Resurrection over the weekend, although perhaps Regurgitation would have been a better title. What a load of utter shit. Just a lazy re-hash of the original film that tries too hard to be clever but makes no sense whatsoever.
  8. Anyway, back on topic... I've just been to visit my mum in hospital and she asked me to pick her up today's Daily Mail. I've told her on previous occasions that I would never dirty my fingers by even touching it let alone be seen buying it, but as she's in hospital and thoroughly bored I reluctantly agreed. Fuck me. Every other paper (except the Express, of course) ran with a headline about how bad a result last night was for Johnson, and this is their take:
  9. I demand that all football journalists should report transfer fees in the number of Shlongs.
  10. "To protect and serve"
  11. That's assuming that he won 100% of the payroll vote. There were numerous claims on Twitter last night that there will be several resignations this morning, so let's wait and see.
  12. Johnson loses the support of 41% of his MPs, and then says this is a "conclusive" result and that the party can now "take this opportunity to unite"
  13. Kudos to David Cameron for never deleting this tweet
  14. So you keep telling us, while utterly failing to grasp that it's not the cake or the curry that is the real issue; it's the principle. In other news, Mad Nad said in a live interview "the donors have spoken", thus admitting that the Tory party prioritises serving the interests of its corporate sponsors ahead of the interests of the nation. She's the gift that keeps on giving.
  15. Yeah it's not quite as explosive as he made it out to be is it.
  16. Mad Nad nailing her colours to the mast already. She only supports Johnson because she knows full well there isn't another candidate quite stupid or desperate enough to have her in their cabinet. Likewise Liz Truss. She thinks she's being clever but all she is doing is admitting that her party were woefully unprepared for a pandemic, which she has strenuously denied previously. She couldn't outwit a blancmange.
  17. My daughter's school being closed on the Friday before and the Monday after the half term holiday.
  18. Tino is already better at defending than TAA.
  19. Well I'm definitely not taking that bait. It was quite obvious you were just trying to get a rise out of MLG because that's pretty much your raison d'être in the lounge. Shame you couldn't detect my attempt to turn the tables. Perhaps you're not the master WUM you thought you were 😉
  20. It says "lie with", not "lie to". In Olde English, the term "lie with a woman" undoubtedly refers to intercourse. You realise that it's only when you translate the passage into English that the word "lie" takes on the second meaning you are suggesting, right? I don't speak ancient Hebrew so can't be 100% certain, but I'd be willing to bet that the original word used doesn't have the same dual meaning.
  21. Like so many aspects of the bible and religious doctrine, it doesn't stand up to simple logic. It's almost as if it's all completely made up.
