  1. I think you're barking up the wrong tree with this. Russ said in his PC yesterday that he takes full responsibility for the way we started on Saturday. He threw himself under the bus, rather than his players.

    Israel

That's quite a leap. His comments were ill advised in the current political landscape and I can completely understand why Labour withdrew their support for him. I wouldn't go so far as to claim for certain that the Israeli govt allowed the attack to happen. But Netenyahu is an evil cunt, and given his statement about reducing Gaza to rubble in the immediate aftermath of the attack, you can't help but wonder if there might be a small grain of truth in it.

    Israel

And that is likely not by accident but by design. If the Jewish diaspora didn't feel persecuted and unsafe then his whole narrative of Israel needing to exist as the safe haven, nation-state of the Jews collapses. It's like a mob protection racket on a global scale. He's offering Jews everywhere safety, but he's the one creating the danger in the first place.
  4. It's almost as if there isn't only one team in Bristol, as their forum name suggests.
  5. This is all true, but Edozie's form really took off after Sully got injured and was performing better than KS had been by the time he got cynically taken out at Norwich.
  6. They did. Kyle Bartley is a first choice CB so will be a big miss. And Daryl Dike is a very injury prone striker who has only played 5 games all season (and scored once).
  7. I know that Leeds fan was trying to convince everyone that we're going to come unstuck because our form against top 10 teams hasn't been so good so far, but those next four for Leeds are hardly gimmes themselves... Swansea gave us a game of it in the second half at theirs recently. Leeds needed ET to beat Plymouth at theirs in the FA cup last week (both fielded significantly weakened first 11s though, admittedly) Leicester have shown they're not unbeatable after their defeat at Coventry las month, but Leeds will have to work extremely hard to get anything out of that game And Hudds showed that they are actually much better than their league positions suggests, and if they play like they did against us on Saturday then a Leeds win is far from guaranteed. Put it this way - I wouldn't be rushing to place any bets that Leeds' points haul from their next 4 games will be any better than ours from our next 5.
  8. Too right. I wouldn't want to have to suffer the disappointment of this all over again
  9. How many minutes has he played in total? Not much I'm guessing.
  10. So you would prefer the lottery of the playoffs to finishing second?
  11. They need to improve their GD to overtake City, so they have every incentive to keep going for more.
  12. A fair number of people further back on this thread seemed far too eager to write him off. Not saying he hasn't had his fair share of poor performances, and some of the criticism levelled against him has been valud. But it's always been clear he has ability and It’s really pleasing to see he's worked on his strength and is starting to fulfill his potential.
  13. This, undoubtedly. Nobody is catching Leicester. The best we can hope for is that they take points off our more direct rivals.
  14. It's just occurred to me (and apologies if someone has already made this point elsewhere) that the last season we played in this kit design - 1988/89 - we had a lengthy, possibly our worst ever, run of games without a win. 23 was it? I vividly remember the wild celebrations in the Milton end when we finally broke the run with a 1-0 win against Newcastle thanks to a last minute penalty from new signing Neil Ruddock.
  15. Rightly so. The time-wasting from Hudds while they were leading was pathetic, with the worst culprit being their keeper who went down holding his head when all he had done was bend down to pick up the ball. It was almost Rivaldo-esque. I was so willing us to score another goal or two in stoppage time, because it would have been no more than their shithousery deserved.
  16. TBF I think if/when we get to 30 it's going to confuse most people.
  17. I'm royt looking faaaarward to seein' what Wade's got to say about this'un.
  18. There were a fair few penalty shouts, but the ref wasn't interested in any of them. Handball after Fraser flicked it over him looked clear on replay but can see why ref didn't see it. Manning's was an obvious dive. Idiot. KWP was lucky not to concede one. Could have been given. Brooks was blatantly pushed over - should have been given. Hudds player on the deck clearly handled it before Mara teed up Edozie for the fifth. I can only assume the ref played the advantage, because if he missed that then he has no business being a professional referee.
  19. I dunno. Looked to me like one of those pure flukes that no keeper can do much about. The first one, on the other hand...
  20. I choose to believe that this is why we played well within ourselves in the first half. Lots of fixture congestion coming up so we need to conserve energy.
  21. Nice. I Put a tenner insurance bet on Hudds at 9/1 when it was 2-2 - cashed it out for £60 about 2 mins before we equalised to make it 3-3.
  22. NEVER... IN... DOUBT.
  23. Oh Kamal was so close to getting on the end of that!
  24. Amazing - but how the fuck did the ref not spot that handball?
  25. MK Dons Moment!!!!
