But anyway, this is veering into the realms of so unlileky that it's not worth worrying about. And as it happens, I wouldn't be bothered at all if we were forced to rely on playing Small due to other players being missing. He's a big talent and I'm quite surprised he hasn't featured already.

No, he hasn't. His one and only appearance was in the FA cup against Sheff Wednesday. It's all moot anyway because he's listed as being in the first team squad on the OS.

My take from that is that the large number of players who had to miss the games over Xmas and new year will all be out of isolation before Saturday, so unless the entire rest of the squad has come down with it since then it looks like it will go ahead.

True, Newcastle will be looking to sign players of a higher calibre than Bournemouth could ever afford, but realistically how many of their targets are actually likely to sign in January? More likely they will get a few loans in til the end of the season, and given that squad needs a complete overhaul from front to back it's unlikely a few loans are suddenly going to make them unbeatable.

Everton are so, so poor at the moment. The run they are on is on par with ours from last January - only 6 points from 36 (assuming they don't get anything from this game). Can't see Benitez lasting the season. If they don't buck their ideas up and get something from this game then I doubt he'll last til the end of January. And with that, Gordon makes it 1-2.
