It's a little more complicated than just two governments disagreeing, but I get your point. Hopefully Broja is savvy enough to recognise that this guy is not personally responsible for the historical atrocities committed against a country in which he wasn't even born and that hating every Serbian because of it is irrational and absurd.

Digne wants out of Everton for CL football and we don't need another LB. Not happening. Alli will want more money than we would be willing to pay and if he goes anywhere this window it will be to Newcastle. Johnstone would be an upgrade on what we already have but I reckon we could find a better option.

Yeah fair point. Although, and I don't ever see this scenario actually arising, if the PL's decision to grant us a postponement on the basis of not enough senior players all hinged on whether or not Small was classed as a senior player, it would be hard for us to argue that he isn't if we've listed him in the first team on the OS. But anyway, this is veering into the realms of so unlileky that it's not worth worrying about. And as it happens, I wouldn't be bothered at all if we were forced to rely on playing Small due to other players being missing. He's a big talent and I'm quite surprised he hasn't featured already.

Oh FFS please just stop it. Please. Today is a (hopefully) good day and we should all be focussing on that rather than engaging in some churlish online dick fight.
-
For the love of God, please can we leave the pathetic squabbling out of this of all threads?

I'm just excited to hear something from the new owners, after 4 years of total silence from Gao.

If only there was some legend about Saints and dragons... (Yes MLT, I'm aware that's not how he spells his name so save yourself the effort of correcting me)
-
No, he hasn't. His one and only appearance was in the FA cup against Sheff Wednesday. It's all moot anyway because he's listed as being in the first team squad on the OS.
-
My take from that is that the large number of players who had to miss the games over Xmas and new year will all be out of isolation before Saturday, so unless the entire rest of the squad has come down with it since then it looks like it will go ahead.
-
It's unlikely they've made that decision 5 days in advance.

Eddie Howe spunked a fortune on players at Bournemouth and still couldn't keep them up. True, Newcastle will be looking to sign players of a higher calibre than Bournemouth could ever afford, but realistically how many of their targets are actually likely to sign in January? More likely they will get a few loans in til the end of the season, and given that squad needs a complete overhaul from front to back it's unlikely a few loans are suddenly going to make them unbeatable.
-
Everton are so, so poor at the moment. The run they are on is on par with ours from last January - only 6 points from 36 (assuming they don't get anything from this game). Can't see Benitez lasting the season. If they don't buck their ideas up and get something from this game then I doubt he'll last til the end of January. And with that, Gordon makes it 1-2. He's been their only bright spark so far.

Well it looked for a while like we might get a decent 3 way title fight this season, but City are just gonna run away with it again aren't they.
-
Leicester with a lucky let off. Schmeichel was off his line when that pen was taken.
-
And all it took was to play him in his natural position. Who'd have thought it eh! It's a shame that it took an injury to Tino for that to happen but I hope it has given Ralph something to think about. Perraud looks solid enough defensively and having a left footer in that position makes such a difference.

Having got the unexpected win at WH I'd have happily taken a point today even without the sending off. Actually hoping the Newcastle game gets postponed now so Salisu and KWP can serve their suspensions for the Swansea game.
-
That's such bollocks cos the first yellow Salisu got was never a yellow.
-
Stu Armstrong gets on the pitch - we win. Coincidence?
-
Where the fook have they got 6 minutes from?!?!
-
Obviously because Broja has burned himself out actually trying to make things happen, and Walcott hasn't.
-
Why is Walcott still on the pitch? He has done literally nothing since half time.
-
Possibly but that doesn't excuse the defending that followed.
-
Oh fuck off. Just fuck off you pathetic, spinelss bunch of uesless pricks!
