  1. All this negativity, nobody is looking at the positives - we get a couple of local away days next season at Brighton and Yeovil.
  2. I thought his comments were nothing short of disgraceful. His main gripe seems to be that we came close to relegation last season and Rupert wasn't here then so how can it be his fault? Does this man really know that little about the recent history of our club? I know he is Lowe's puppet but to risk alientaing the entire fan base to stick up for him in this way is a very dangerous game. Just for your information Mr Wotte... Lowe appointed Burley who dragged us close to relegation last season. Then Pearson, who was not appointed by Lowe, came in and instilled enough fight and spirit in the team to keep them up. Then Lowe came back and promptly got rid of Pearson, purely because he didn't appoint him in the first place, and brings in you and your pal Mr Portaloo, who between you have dragged us even closer to relegation than Lowe's last appointed manager did.
  3. Not at all. Just pointing out the fact that you claim to have never goaded us about administrtation when, in fact, you have. That's what makes you a hypocrite....

I'm not claiming for a second that the Palestinians are completely blameless. Far from it. I saw a program a while back which proved beyond doubt that Palestinians in Gaza have been faking videos showing some of the suffering at the hands of the Israelis. I'll have a look and see if I can find it on Youtube. I'm just pointing out that to deliberately target and kill civilians using illegal chemical weapons purely because of the actions of a group of terrorists, which there can be no doubt the IDF has been doing, is totally despicable. You're contradicting yourself. Nobody, as far as I can see, is declaring support for Hamas. I am as much opposed to terrorism as anyone else and do not condone their actions. But do civilians deserve to be collectively punished because of them? When we were under constant threat of attacks from the IRA, did we wade into Ireland and destroy houses, apartment blocks and schools, and unleash white phosphorous weapons on their civilian population as 'punishment'? Of course we didn't. Hamas is without doubt a terrorist organisation that have carried out some pretty horrific acts. But the Israeli response is way, way out of all proportion, and that is the point that most people are trying to make.
  5. San Marino GP was actually held in Italy, which is home to some of the most fanatic GP fans in the world. Ferrari's base at Maranello is less than 50 miles from the Imola circiuit. HTH.

True, but the fact that you would even question it surely negates your whole argument that supporting the civilian population of Gaza 'by default' means supporting Hamas.

Hang on Delldays, you're really confusing me now. Firstly you say that you don't trust that Hamas' election victory was genuine, and you then go ahead and blame the entire population of Gaza for their actions? :smt102
  8. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4319 Actually, I take it back. Corp you are a moron and a hypocrite. A quick search of your previous posts threw up this little nugget from as recently as November...
  9. In which case I apologise Corp. I do not remember any specdific instances of you goading us about it but given your general style of posting and continuous arguments about attendance figures, I would not have put it past you. In fairness Corp, this is a Saints forum. And let's be honest... you haven't exactly endeared yourself to its members in the past have you?

And what has been pointed out to you, and you seem to have conveniently ignored, is that most people do not support Hamas at all, but feel sympathy towards the innocent civilians who did not ask to be caught up in this conflict and have nowhere else to go.
  11. Just goes to show how subjective these things are. I thought that was an excellent film.
  12. Well let's face it, if we go to the wall who are they going to banter with? Brighton? Bournemouth? But seriously, it's good to see that not all the pompey fans that post on this forum are as moronic as Corp Ho. I never fully appreciated just how close they came to going down the pan themselves and I may have joked about it at the time, but I really wouldn't wish what is happening to us on anyone. REAL football fans don't deserve it.
  13. Let's face facts here. We don't look capable of staying up without a 10-point deduction. With it, relegation is about as certain as Barry H. Bear taking his roll of Andrex and copy of today's Sun into the woods and curling one out.
  14. Like I said, I could be completely wrong. I don't pretend to be an expert in these matters, but I was thinking of the Leeds situation where Ken Bates was able to buy the club back for a pound or something stupid like that after it had gone into administration.
  15. Somebody will buy it if it is offered cheap enough. I personally think this is why we have not been taken over already, because the vultures have been circling waiting for the club to effectively die so they can pick it up at a fraction of what it was being offered at before administration. Then again, I could be completely wrong.
  16. Ah. So the whoooooooosh is on me then.... Sh1t!
  17. Giving a listen to Peter Bjorn and John's Writer's Block album having never heard it before. Very good indeed.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=smu7L_8Lt1E&feature=related Whatever the rights and wrongs of this conflict, when I see this kind of thing it makes me sickened and ashamed to even be the same species as the c***s that do things like this.
  20. So they found a replacement for Carol Vorderman in the end then. I loved the bit that Michael Mcintyre (sp) did in his stand-up DVD about it saying all they needed to do was find an autistic shelf-stacker
  21. Careful mate. During the buildup to last years FA cup final I said on here that I would rather see a team from my home county win it than a team from a different country, and you would not believe some of the abuse that was aimed in my direction as a result.
  22. Unbelievable. This thread just proves what a sorry state our club is in. Michelle tries to lighten the mood with a litle humour and even that turns into fan vs fan. It would be funny if it wasn't so soul-destroyingly depressing.
  23. Me too. I was (and still am) rubbish at art but his shows gave me inspiration to at least try. RIP Tony, you will be missed.
  24. Rewind four and a bit years to the start of the 2004-2005 season and our beloved chairman was quoted in the press as saying "Football is a results-driven business" in response to rumours that he was about to get rid of Sturrock. He duly sacked Luggy despite the fact that his record actually wasn't that bad and we had played some pretty good football during his tenure. So what do you have to say about it now then Mr Lowe? Is JP's record of one win in 14 home games seriously better than Sturrock's? You weren't even at the game yesterday and your silence is deafening.
  25. The answer is simple. It was the cheapest option available at the time, but Lowe beiong Lowe cannot help but try to put a positive spin on things and insult the intelligence of his paying customers at the same time by dressing it up as a 'revolutionary new coaching style'. By 'revolutionary' Rupert, do you mean 'sh1te'?
