  1. I was. And I was still Saintandy666. I regret my name choice now. I'd rather just be plain Andy, which I could have been as I was one of the first to join this site.
  2. Djokovic probably favourite in the final, but I think after the US, that shows that anything can happen. Alpine, you are ****ing hilarious. Keep the entertainment coming.
  3. People didn't get angry on Monday because deep down they know we are in a hell of a lot better position than when Cortese came in. There is absolutely no real anti-cortese appetite in fans.
  4. Djokovic has absolutely crushed Ferrer. Looks ominous.
  5. No one on his level no. But there are very few who are even remotely close to him in talent.
  6. I feel sorry for Adkins for the way in which he was sacked, but to feel sorry for him over money is madness. He was on the kind of money the vast majority of people can only dream of.
  7. Indeed he is, and beating him will not be easy for Murray. However, I really think Murray came of age when he destroyed Federer at the Olympics. I guess time will tell. Murray is favourite in my opinion.
  8. Andy Murray has pretty much strolled in the semi finals, barely breaking a sweat. He really is coming of age, but should be a sterner test to come in the next round with either Federer or Tsonga. What do people think? Second Grand Slam for Murray?
  9. Some people seem to be laying into Harry about this, which is ridiculous. He is just doing his job, and it is a job not many people can do. He has also made it abundantly clear and with sincerity in my opinion that he doesn't like the press and that he wished they had not been there during his deployment. To me, it sounds like he has done as normal job as he could under the circumstances and that is good. It's good that we have soldiers who are willing to do such jobs if they have to.
  10. I would say that we held Chelsea to draw, and Arsenal... but the Manchester teams are a whole staircase up from that, let alone a step. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I guess we could have an inspired performance, but I doubt it.
  11. I swear I remember reading somewhere that Liebherr had set aside a structured pool of money to invest in Saints.
  12. So the world didn't end after all.
  13. But I really don't think we have enough fans. Sure, I guess we can gain fans, but I think our maximum potential regular attendance is around 40k. And I know that Chelsea only have around that, but I think if they were to increase their stadium size to say 60k, they'd fill that. We'd never do 60k. Not in the next 10 or so years anyways...
  14. Quite clearly he is countering the point of 'we're not big enough to challenge for the top 4'. It's a decent comparison, but I really don't see us getting up there. I think maybe Europa League is a possibility? Depends how much money we have... Also worth pointing out that Everton have stuck with Moyes through thick and thin.
  15. We shouldn't, because I believe there are at least 3 teams who are worse teams than us.
  16. Lowe was alright until it came to the point where we needed to invest to consolidate, which he couldn't/wouldn't do. He did well with the new stadium, maintaining our excellent youth system and in the league as well for a while when he finally found stable managers in Hoddle and Stratchan.
  17. I just can't believe we didn't even give him a whole season.
  18. I don't think he can, not without the exit of the Liebherr's or if he wanted to, which might cause the exit of the Liebherr's as he was integral to the whole deal. And I most certainly wouldn't want to lose the Liebherr family.
  19. We're hopelessly out of our depth. Damage limitation is the key. Protect our goal difference.
  20. The problem is obvious; the internet. 1. The internet has reduced the value of media because holding a physical copy of something is no longer important. 2. It is easily available for free. However, I have find that people avoid pirating where prices are reasonable and affordable. For example, netflix is doing very well. 3. Obviously, the internet is cheaper. Also HMV didn't move into other sectors such as technology until it was too late. However, I do feel that in some ways, the online companies like amazon and play and cd-wow and whoever else rely on a high street retailer for some of their sales. I think people enjoy going in a browsing and seeing all the cds in front of them in a way that is easy to discover new artists and such. So I think it is in everyone's interests if a high-street media retailer remains in business. And if HMV goes, I think there will be a functional hole in the market. I think in the future, it will have to come down to shops have facilities to order things online to your house when you drop into town. Because people still like going into town, the numbers I have seen reported in the news show that... they just aren't buying stuff there as much anymore.
  21. Rodrieguez. Really worked hard and created a lot for us with his runs which put Villa under pressure. Getting throw ins and what not from situations which otherwise would have just been Villa getting it back up the field.
  22. I think he is doing fine. Just give him time to adapt. I think he has shown us pretty good flashes of what he can do. I will admit however that he was pretty anonymous yesterday.
  23. I would imagine given his age and such they are just being very very careful.
  24. Where's the composure?! We are just hoofing it up field everytime.
  25. Utterly untrue. I will admit I occasionally do do that(certainly not 'rarely fail'), along with other publications as well where relevant. However, the piece I quoted was by Andrew Rawnsley, who while being an Observer columnist, has written for a wide range of publications of all opinions and is very well respected. Also, you should note that the piece I quoted wasn't an assessment of whether our place in the EU is correct or not, it's an assessment of any potential referendum campaign.
