Wow this thread has developed a bit. I commented to my son halfway through the game that i didnt think the sides were uneven. I honestly thought the difference was in organization, passing and movement. As for the shirt colours i understand some people will only have one or two or may prefer to wear a favourite shirt. We will endeavor next week to be as fair as possible. Enjoy guys, these games are always played in a very good spirit

Enjoyed that today, some very good passing and movement from our side and the defending wasn't that bad.

I dont mind realism and we may well struggle this season but SOME posters on here almost appear to get some sort of perverse pleasure out of us losing.....ITS FUNNY THESE SAME POSTERS ARE NOT SO VOCIFEROUS WHEN WE WIN!!! Balance!!!!

I'm sorry Alpine but do you actually want our team to succeed?? Almost every post you put is either negative of the team, the management or the directors Sometimes i really seriously wonder if you just want Saints to go to the wall so you can come on here and tell everyone I TOLD YOU SO.

I'm naturally disappointed that we have now lost 2 games on the trot but also realistic to know that the opening 3 games of the season were all going to be very difficult. The normal pessimists have already written this team off but i still think the kids will come good. The first 10 games of this season are very much going to be a sharp learning curve for the youngsters but i am very encouraged by what i have seen of this team so far. If the fans give the new setup their fall backing i'm sure they will come good.

This whole thread has become quite ridiculous with the usual suspects trying to find any reason they can for sniping at certain members of the board. I personally don't give a flying ***k if RL attends games or not, the people that count are the players, manager and coaching staff. It's the school summer holidays and RL has children. I should imagine his holiday was already booked before he even came back to the club, so please give it a rest some of you. If Wilde and Cowan were there then good for them, we had someone representing the board. Why this has gone on this long with stupid conspiracy theories god only knows. When will people learn to ignore some of the rubbish spouted on here.

right now i would take a 1-0 win. The new gaffers first win of the season and a morale boosting victory away from home for the lads. I hate these cup games against lower opposition, you just know we coud and have ended up with egg on our faces

I had no problem paying up for my subscription and tbh it's a very low amount. However out of interest why have the number of posting on some peoples accounts gone down drastically?? I'm not overly bothered but i had close to 2,000 prior to the change of server.

Like it or not SFC are still in a position where they desperately need to cut the wage bill. Have you not seen what has happened again to Bournemouth? You seem to think RL does this just to **** fans off. He doesnt give a stuff about your opinion or mine, he is a money man and his priority is getting SFC back on an even keel even if that means some unpopular decisions. I am disappointed Saga has gone, i too expected great things from him but i would rather still have a football club than it suffer the same fate as Bournemouth.

I cant believe this crap has reared its ugly head again. We need investment, there is no doubt about that....but unless there is genuine millions being pumped into the club then another takeover will benefit nobody. I am genuinely excited about this season. The new management team have accepted no crap from the seasoned pro's and have given youth a chance and the players that have featured so far WANT to play for the shirt. As for Alan Shearer being lined up....well i'm sorry he may have contacts but that doesnt mean diddly squat. There should be no changes now prior to Christmas IMHO
