When the goal went in yesterday my first reaction was FFS Baz. However i have looked at the replays multiple times now and I think i was too quick to lament Baz.

I have no idea if you are genuine or not but i certainly won't give you abuse for posting this. I personally would love JWP back at this level. His experience and work rate are second to none. He will always divide the fan base with some believing he offers nothing and those of us that have always seen a model pro. I really hope you are right on this one.

What is this feel good factor i am feeling right now, first an ugly win last night and now the legend that is Romeu back "home". Now is it too much to ask for 3points on Saturday and the announcement of a manager that us fans can really get behind!

Nothing against the guy but Tonda Eckhart is NOT what we need NOW. I honestly don't believe the club would be stupid enough to appoint him full time. We need a big presence, someone that will instantly demand respect and will have a decent track record already. It would be very interesting to know which managers currently employed and not that are realistically in the frame because THEY have shown interest in the job, not managers like frank Lampard or Brendan Rogers who for the life of me i cannot imagine being the slightest bit interested.

Well that was two teams out of form but one more out of form and more fragile than the other. When we gave them that goal i fully expected them to go on and get the equaliser and probably the winner the way we just fell apart. Apart from the two goals which were both very good the most pleasing thing was we defended for our lives in that last 15 minutes and you cannot under estimate what holding onto the win could mean going forward for this team. Very boring 1st half, both teams struggled to get going but 2nd half was "entertaining" (if you are a neutral i imagine) Winning ugly i will take all day long at this point and if we win ugly again on Saturday i will be even happier!

ok i am a bit gobsmacked about the keeper change, Mccarthy is not great but he's done nothing to warrant getting dropped. Maybe the new tactics are win as many corners as possible and baz will come up for them and score a hatful.

My personal take on this having a friend quite close to the Dibling family is young TD was getting pulled one way and another and he was very conflicted in what to do for best. He felt a massive debt of gratitude to Saints for rescuing him from Chelsea and he certainly saw his future LONG term at Saints. Unfortunately he started getting people around him (not all) telling him to leave Saints and this effected him (huge drop off last season in form) He's now back in a similar position to the one he found himself at Chelsea and mentally he is suffering. The small cameos i have seen of him this season he looks lost. It's a huge shame.

I said at the time he was making a huge mistake going to Everton and nothing i have seen so far makes me change my mind. It will be a massive waste of talent if he just disappears and that could easily happen, football is very unforgiving. The only plus right now for TD is the money.

Wow just wow, i never ever thought he would return having obviously followed him in Spain. I love the guy, he's a great character and a leader and exactly what i have been saying that we have been lacking. I hope his legs are up to it, i'm very conscious that the Spanish league and the English league are very different, with the English leagues being very much quicker and robust. Just the lift we all need if he's in the building. ,

After a totally depressing weekend and then seeing we have sacked WS only to be linked with some utter garbage i needed cheering up. I hadn't seen this thread before tonight but it's comedy gold. it absolutely breaks my heart to see how bad we have become. It's embarrassing, depressing and criminal how much the owners have let us down, the managers employed have been so inept and the players completely spineless.

If he wasn't already a crowd favourite then this kind of plain talking no nonsense attitude will really get the fans loving this guy!

Honestly if we signed Brendan Rogers i would be done with this club, i absolutely fucking hate the bloke after the snide comments he made about our club when he was Liverpool manager. Has anybody read the Celtic club statement calling out BR to be a lying little rat!

WS is the manager, he makes the decisions about tactics and substitutions. His tactics are absolute bollocks and don't even get me started on his subs. He has admitted it was his mistake taking Leo off on Saturday and that decision completely backfired. The entire fanbase were screaming wtf are you doing?? He hasn't got a bloody clue!

I am really not surprised at all if this is true. I said at the time i didn't believe he would leave Saints because i have a friend who is close to the Dibling family and everything he had heard had suggested he didn't want to leave. I have no idea what happened to change this? Bad advice? Saints wanting to sell? I have no idea but i do fear TD may just disappear and become one of those youngsters that never broke through.

Is anyone genuinely optimistic that we will win?? We played 2 awful teams in our last 2 matches and walked away with a point! What's changing today with no strikers?

I'm trying not to let my emotions dictate my thinking on the manager. If i did i would want WS gone because it's criminal with the talent at his disposal that we are floundering just off the relegation spots. Thinking cold and objectively i think WS and previous managers have been extremely let down by our recruitment team. It really is criminal that we have not signed a striker proven at this level. I don't care if the striker we signed was for one season only, because like AA they would be seen as not able to make the step up to the Premier League. Yes we would have a striker still on our books with an outgoing wage BUT that striker might have been the missing part of the jigsaw and helped get us promoted. Don't tell me doing this is not economically viable after the amount we have spunked on DD!! The recruitment team have also failed to provide the manager with a real leader on the pitch, there is no one in our squad that fits the bill and consequently the minute we concede we go to pieces because no one takes control out on the pitch. For me these are the 2 main reasons we are where we are. I'm still fed up with WS and believe he is not what we need but has he been screwed over by our board and recruitment team?
