  1. Ya....the Rasiak goal to take it to extra time in the playoffs at Derby. That was a roller coaster game... Filled the away end and we played our b0llocks off (think Bale was injured for the game) ... Last minute winner (kind of) and I've never seen or heard such a noise. Never seen a good YouTube of it either... Unless anyone can find it...
  2. *valuable
  3. I bet we looked the same getting off of the football special at Fratton... Only with less flares and more women taking up value ticket space.

    Wanyama?

Here's a few reasons to help your understanding.... We now have the best defence in the league... He is a massive part of that. 5 clean sheets from 7 games. We are 4th in the league on merit. Wanyama has played in everyone of those games... And our position and stature is directly correlated to him being there. So that's why Jack Cork doesn't get a look in. Lets turn it on its head then.... Given how very very stable we are defensively... Why on earth would anyone take out Big Vic when clearly what he is doing is working wonders?!
  5. I'm pretty upset by this....Thought I would start a thread on the internet about it and do a sad face but it's already been done =(
  6. I agree he did not have a good start...and yes it was probably a couple of games..but most of the negative comments 'likely' appeared from people who don't know football outside of the city and hadn't heard of him. Quite frankly, I couldn't believe he signed for us ...bloody international regular, champions league GK who was first choice for Fiorentina and Celtic before that entering his peak years at 31 years old, 6'4 commanding presence.. ....but most seemed to be written off after 180 minutes of first team football after missing an entire pre season.
  7. Not that ago , most of the helmets on here were saying how bad he was and would cost us points... with only a few sticking their necks out to say he's probably one of the best GK's we've had in recent history. Interesting how views change....or start.
  8. A common saying in American sport has always been.... offense wins games, defence wins championships... more often than not the best defensive unit has the best season. We look tough to beat..be nice to be able to push towards a european place through the league.
  9. Probably nothing as he's up in Liverpool supporting the team...
  10. I must expect far too much from my team... I am very disappointed we aren't clear at the top from not beating Sunderland and West Ham at home. Superb result today though. We are clearly hard to break down as look a much better then the opposition play against us to win an not for the draw
  11. Richard White is playing... I wonder what delights he can bring to the SIFC team...
  12. This is possibly the most ridiculous post I've read on the forum and this place is full of helmets...which makes your post ultra helmet like. He is one the best goalkeepers we have had here in a long long time. His his kicking isn't great but every other aspect of his game is superb.
  13. We are just about doing ok...just. If, buts and maybes...but we could (should?) be top if we had won our 2 very winnable home games.
  14. It's a good experience. Lovely stadium. Tickets were cheap as anything...15 Euros...this was about 2006 maybe. If you wanted to get anything in the ground, they do credit scheme thing so no one uses money..they just deduct credit from your card. Can't remember how i got hold of one..probably picked it up in the ground. Make sure you get off at the right stop..ended up a few stops before (can't remember why) ...equivalent to walking through Harlem...felt quite unsafe!
  15. Frustrating start to the season... We have 4... Could quite easily have nothing.. On another day could have 9. We've scored nothing from open play yet and don't really look like it. We've played 3 average teams...granted 2 are away. i suppose you could say 4 point from a home game and 2 aways is a decent return at face value but really we aren't looking great at all. Must start being incisive and taking those few f*cking chances or we're in for a very disappointing season.
  16. There certainly are and it's most good! You should go to the one in Leeds...
  17. I went in 2010. It's like no other American city and does have an odd smell. The best thing I did there was a swamp tour outside of the centre. Good experience. The zoo was also very impressive. went inside the Superdome which is/was the biggest single span indoor arena in the world or something like that.... And went to see the Hornets (now pelicans) play =) Bourbon Street is a funny place... Completely dead during the day then the craziest street party all night every night.
  18. Wanyama and MS must scare the sh1t out of opposition players. Probably the 2 best break up players in the league....stood next to each other. It's not really fair on the other team! ...and yes Big Vic is an absolute tank. Challenges flying in and people bouncing off him like running into a wall. Also had a couple of nice bits of skill and some forward drive. Lovren looked very good too. Superb challenge towards the end. Chambers looked decent but Clyne is a top player do can't wait for him to come back. A bit of Osvaldo cutting edge in the final third and we have a fantastic, exciting team on our hands.
  19. I'm sure Dean Hammond, Richard Chaplow and forum favourite Billy Sharp 'care' about the club....Chaplow or Wanyama... Tough choice! Billy Sharp or any international proven striker.... Another tough one. We need to sign better players to become better. Robinho probably didn't want to go to Man City but they flashed the cash, paid him a fortune and then all of a sudden all these players started coming in ,getting better and better each time and then they go and win the league. Do you think a player like Sergio Aguero (being who he is now) would have entertained going to Man City 10 years ago? If / when Osvaldo signs, he probably starts and probably scores lots... He takes the burden off Lambert and adds undeniable quality. The fact that people seem to be against us trying to sign international 'B level' players to progress so that we can hopefully start signing Robinho's and other superstars whilst keeping our own, is quite laughable.
  20. ...because they want to get rid of him...he's not coming here so what's better ...15 mil or nothing. Haven't you ever played Football Manager?!!
  21. I emailed you the other day. Presume you have a new work email as you are not a rude ignorant type. He will sign soon.... And when he does...I shall get Osvaldo on my replica shirt
  22. What an absolute SFC legend. Fairy tale story
  23. OH..missed that! ^^
