seaborne wont cut it against the better attacking teams of this league. need a solid, reliable defender alongside fonte. also need a striker. IF we get the two players we need, i am extremely hopeful of an auto chance. What a bubble we are living at the moment, and the best thing about it all its OUR TEAM... ITS SOUTHAMPTON!!!!

The most optimistic and hopeful I have felt in my time following Saints and the most striking thing for me is THE FEEL GOOD FACTOR around the club and in my experience that always comes from the top! Thank God and long may it continue.

Why is seaborne playing? Gilt isn't effective on right either. Oh well, Adkins knows what he's doing. Come on you Saints!!

I'd indeed an offer was put to Howe and he chose burnley over us, IF being the operative word, would love to know what he's thinking now?! Lol... Up the Saints.

Well, the day has finally arrived and Fratton man Mark Chamberlain's son has finally made his dad some money. The kid was a good player with serious potential but when a player wants to move to another team, especially when that happens to be in a higher league, which club in the world in the same situation as ours could stop him? Like other posters have mentioned all the clubs "have" to sell at some point. What I am happy is that we did it on our terms and for that once again massive credit has to go to our chairman, may we be blessed under his chairmanship for many many more successful years to come. What a difference this man has made to our good club in 2 years! The dosh is good and I have complete faith in how we as a club utilise it. Oh and one more thing, and its unfortunate to have to say it , but to all those cocks who are constantly looking at angles to attack the chairman, you are fools and if its not agenda driven, thick as two sh!ts with it. For saints, on to bigger, better and forward!

Marks: Davis 7 Richardson 7.5 Fonte 8 Martin 7 Harding 7 Guly 6.5 Hammond 8 Cork 7.5 Lallana 8.5 Lambert 7.5 Connolly 7.5 Subs De ridder 7 Chaplow 7.5 Morgan 7 So so happy right now. Very blessed to have the club run so proffessionally and to such obvious purpose and intent.

Bart Butterfield Martin Jaidi Dickson De Ridder Chaplow Morgan Holmes Barnard Guly I'd play Martin again. Needs game time. Bit rough obviously at moment. Game time will help with distribution

Fair enough. Hands up he did very well yesterday, if he continues like yesterday I would now say we have a quartet of central midfielders which gives me great hope.

Seaborne is a poor defender.

Ever thought of posting on Pompey boards?

show me where you read that?

lot of good posts here. Was keen on Jemal BUT I trust our chairman and manager's judgement. Come what may on that one, so be it... However I also agree that Gorkss is a very good shout. So, lets get the Gorkss in!! p.s Richmond, what are you going on about??!
