I don’t necessarily disagree with you. What amazes me is the obvious lack of media training he’d had and how Saints invested many millions into him but clearly didn’t address it or even see it before he arrived. If they’d done their due diligence on him as a complete package they’d have seen that he was a bit of a media car crash and put things in place. Maybe if they had we wouldn’t necessarily be where we are now.

I just want to see us win, enjoy going to games and feel good about the club and team. The division we’re in is irrelevant, I’ve been watching Saints for 45 years and have seen players come and go so the division we’re in doesn’t matter. The division matters to the money men more and quite frankly the PL is far too rich for us. For the teams around us that escape are just in for more misery next season - is that what we want or is having a chance of getting top 6 potentially more fun? I appreciate nothing is guaranteed but if we had pulled a rabbit from a hat it would be rinse and repeat next season.

First things first. Don’t sit on your hands and start acting now. I’d therefore like to see Selles gone today. If he’s not staying (which I sincerely hope he isn’t) then why keep him? Identify who you want and if available get them in.

So the XG says GB should have conceded 16 less goals. We’ll never know if that would have been the case or not but if it’s true and we didn’t pick McCarthy due to how his contract is structured it just shows how completely and utterly inept this club is. Dropping GB may well have meant we’d have stayed in the league and thus would have paid for McCarthy’s salary many times over. Instead we’re about to take a £100M hit.

BTW it’s Mullin. Anyway FWIW I’ve seen him live this season a few times and on TV. There are questions over why he’s not really done it before but from what I’ve seen and maybe it’s partly how Wrexham play, his work rate is phenomenal. I’d love to see his running stats against our strikers

In fairness it’s mainly a ‘nice away day’ for the opposition because of our shockingly poor players and inept management.

They’ve apparently apologised etc. However I bet that’s just come from their Corporate Communications Department and the players have no idea about any apology. As Simon Jordan said on TalkSPORT, these players need to remember where they came from.

I’m just hoping the Wilcox does actually join and that he doesn’t see sense and runs a mile.

My worry is that those making the decisions at St Mary’s don’t see what we see and should be blindingly obvious. if RS isn’t gone at the end of the season then we really are in big trouble. I understand that Saints have already agreed to refund the travelling supporters for the performance. Selles said ‘We really appreciate the support they give us and recognise that with my incompetence and the players lack of application that it’s only right and proper that we refund the fans for this game. The fact that the game hasn’t taken place yet is irrelevant as we all know what garbage we’ll serve up’.
