  1. Sunderland or Southampton? On every level, whether personal or professional we should be a better option. That said I’m not at all convinced about his injury record.
  2. This is from their website. You have to love the 2nd paragraph!! Al Duhail Sports Club Management concluded their contract with the French midfielder Ibrahima Diallo coming from the Premier League side Southampton after the player passed the medical examination. Diallo, who was born in France in 1999, succeeded in shining with his team in the English Premier League for three seasons. The player began his professional career with the French side Monaco and joined Brest on loan before moving to the Premier League. He represented French National Team U18 and U21. Diallo is considered an important asset added to our team midfield line, preparing for the new football season participating in many local and continental competitions.
  3. If TL happened that would be good business. A very healthy profit and who knows if he’ll be the same player. As for JWP that could also be good business depending on the sums involved.
  4. I didn’t like him for a number of reasons. However he wouldn’t have had the career he had at the very top level if he couldn’t actually referee. Maybe his arrogance has been his final undoing?
  5. If we honestly think Winks wouldn’t have been a decent signing then I feel people are either deluded or will be massively disappointed by who we do eventually sign. We are not PL and at our level he’d have been outstanding.
  6. That bleep test on its own shows what a good professional JWP is and why he’s managed so many games at the top level.
  7. Maybe given the injury and potential long term prognosis the club feel it’s a good deal? I remember when JRod was out - wasn’t there the possibility of him moving on but he didn’t? He clearly wasn’t the same player again.
  8. Thoughts on what points tally is acceptable after the first ten games? There are some very valid points raised above but as we know patience and football don’t go hand in hand. Very crudely, based on last season in the Championship, 1.5 points a game gets us into the top 6. So after ten games BIM the regime change, is 15 points acceptable?
  9. I saw his debut at Shef Utd when he came on. It was blatantly obvious then how poor he was.
  10. Won’t be such an easy commute for him if he doesn’t want to move. Yes I know they start late, finish early and he could have a chauffeur but the M3, M25 and A3 can be hideous as we all know. It’s all relative but it won’t be as easy as getting to Staplewood.
  11. He was part of a 6 person relay so he’s only done a 6th of it. That however shouldn’t detract from what he’s done and why.
  12. I know there’s a hate of Everton and I was there when Adrian Heath shattered our dreams. However as a resident in the NW I have to say I find the Toffees supporters far more affable than the likes of Liverpool and Utd. Likewise when my son was young we regularly bought tickets in the big stand at Goodison (to save him from our away rabble 😉). We didn’t take the piss and cheer - not that there was much to cheer about - but the fans were great with us and especially him. That all said if they have cheated the system in any way then they deserve all that’s coming to them.
  13. He stands at 6ft 3… Ricky!!………we all know how it goes!!
  14. We’ve not played our first Championship game yet and you’re concerned about whether he’ll be good enough in the PL should we get promoted? In fairness if he gets us promoted and then goes all Adam Armstrong on us then as far as I’m concerned we should get him on the bus!!!
  15. That’s right Cat. I was at that game too and whilst we won we changed the team and didn’t particularly go at them like we did City. It was tinkering for tinkering sake. He should have gone with the same team and said to them that the shirt was theirs to lose.
  16. What annoys me is that in the next game instead of picking the same team and using similar tactics he changed everything. I can’t be bothered to look but wasn’t it Leeds away? I was at that game and it was absolutely woeful.
  17. And who could forget Mick Mills!!
  18. I liked Alan Brazil - still do!
  19. Apologise? I don’t think you need to - forums like this are the platform to vent on and my god don’t we all deserve that after what SFC have been serving up?
  20. Similar to his career…had great ability and backed himself
  21. Fantastic. Thanks
  22. You clearly don’t work for the Club with common sense ideas like that!
  23. Give him the number 8 shirt and we’ll barely notice JWP has left but we’ll have circa £40M in the bank!! What’s not to like?!
  24. Think I read somewhere that he wants to stay in the north unfortunately.
  25. Making me think of Danny Fox. Much maligned but DAJFU when we got promoted.
