Great thread - CB Fry running his mouth off again. No change there then.
-
Absolutely delighted for him. Who knows, he might even get more game time if we get relegated. Either way, very pleased for the lad.

Far worse English owners with Russian brides though....

The defending for the first goal was really, really funny. You do have to wonder what coach was responsible for telling the players to do that. Can't comment about the defending for the second one because there was none - so nobody is really culpable there. At least now we all know we are in a relegation scrap and it's time to roll the sleeves up and go to work, time to see the players battling qualities. Ummmm perhaps not then. The only positive is that if Citeh do Villa tomorrow, not too much damage has actually been done in regard to current position. But lets be honest - if we can't take out QPR at home, after the season they have had - we are in big trouble. Relegation beckons.

I don't really understand why anybody actually thought that we were too good to go down - we've been scraping around the bottom of the league all season. No change to the last 10 years that we last spent in the Premier League.
-
Conversely, if you are going to make a prediction, and post it on an internet message board - it is there to be commented on based on it's merits. Let's be honest - we are shyte and it was highly unlikely that we were, or indeed are, going to get as high as tenth. There are far too many people on here with rose tints on. Today is a major blow and perhaps all those 'european finish' poster might now have had a dose of realism. We are in a relegation dog fight (again) - we will do well to stay up this season. Unless we start to get some confidence and get our defence sorted, points are going to be hard to come by. My prediction is that we will be closer to 20th than to 10th.

Ummm kinda peeved that Rebecca is stalking others on here too. Got a plan B though - Emily is only two miles from me...

We are Southampton, we'll probably win tomorrow and lose at Wigan - it's what we do...!

Ball boy went over far too easily - should've been booked for diving imo....

This. People should also remember as well that had Pocchetino not taken the job, somebody else would have got it anyway. The Chairman was always going to sack Nigel. So let's not get all beat up about Pocchetino, he did what every one of you would of done. On the plus side for Nigel - he couldn't have done his CV any more good if he tried. Lets face it - back to back promotions and showing vast Premier League improvement - damn good credentials for somebody looking for work. Somebody will snap him up - he'll come back to haunt us - we'll all have a wry smile for him.

I'm 54, and it was the best bus ride I've ever been on by far. Thanks Nige.

Was too scared to post on the match thread, bricked it. Well done boys - big, big 3 points.
-
It should be noted that Bradford had a very good goalkeeper who made some very good saves early doors.
-
Goalkeeping errors, defensive errors, generally not being good enough - all of those things lead to conceding goals - conceding goals leads to loosing games - loosing games leads to relegation, which is where we are heading. I really hope we get in a CB and Keeper in this window, if not more.
-
This unfortunately. This is fast becoming a 'would', 'should' and 'could' season - we are just throwing far too many points away. Too soft, players not good enough for this league, not enough savvy - and as somebody else pointed out, not buying experienced premiership players. Don't get me wrong - I don't particularly mind getting relegated, that's what I saw at the start of the season and up to now I see nothing that really changes my opinion, but those people like Dalek who think we will become a yo yo club - you are wrong - we will only yo.
