  1. I noticed that as well - a little worrying if we can't sell out for this level of match.
  2. If we are taking the positives out of that game, fine. I'm positive that if we give away stupid corners we don't leave the likes of RVP the freedom of the six yard box to get an unopposed header. I'm positive that we don't make substitutions to our most effective players - especially at home. I'm positive that we don't try to defend against the likes of Man U for the last 25 minutes.
  3. Story, what story - it's a guess, nothing more, nothing less - bloody worst sort of journalism ever.... SAINT HARRY Redknapp set for St Mary's return "Former Southampton boss Harry Redknapp will be offered the Saints job again if Nigel Adkins side struggle in the Premier League...." Mind you they are correct, IF we do badly in the Premier League, HR and probably 10 other managers will be 'offered' Nigel's job - that's football. Can't see it being imminent though.

    Emile Heskey

    Great strike rate.
  5. But that is NORMAL sky service - that's what they always do - run the (same) newsreel over, and over, and over again. I don't know why you expected any different.
  6. I think the Kraken has called it really. Lawrenson has a pretty lazy style about him anyway. All he's doing here is highlighting the fact that we are likely to be without points for 3 - 4 games and questioning whether the owners will start to get twitchy. Decent shout really.
  7. Not for me thanks - but willing to be proved wrong. Also as he above said - odd thread.
  8. Never heard of him - but roll on page 94 all the same....!
  9. I heard him say that, and most people in football would say similar - but even then I don't think that it applies to us. I don't think that we will have a fair representation of where we will finish after 10 games. We have been dealt a pretty hard start, could well be played 5 lost 5 - but even then I wouldn't panic too much. How many points did Wigan pick up last season after their first 10 games - not many I would wager - but they stayed up comfortably. So long as the lads heads don't drop because of the poor start (which is only to be expected) - we could well be ok - but the first 10 games are not really going to be the markers.
  10. Could be worth a punt - took Spurs from 3rd bottom and nearly made CL - and we all know we need to be making the CL pretty soon.
  11. Going by the brief highlights on motd - looked awful - large spaces - pretty quiet. Nothing for anyone else to fear.
  12. Played 4 and lost 4 is pretty much what I expected tbh. Wigan were never going to be easy. So pretty much I am unsurprised at our lack of points and wont be expecting us to get any any time soon.
  13. So after game one at SMS we have shelved the champions league aspirations, failed to make capacity thus putting the expansion plans on the back boiler and managed to lose to lowly Wigan. Real eye opener. If we get relegated this season, and promoted the following - will we still have achieved the 5 year aim...?
  14. That's a lot of minutes in a single season for young Dyer, he never normally gets into double figures. Good solid season for him. Great value for money for club and fans alike.
  15. Good on you Moff, you get off to Yeovil, we're off to the Champions League apparently..!
  16. There's not a lot about our qualification for Europe mentioned anywhere....
  17. This. Got to take the rough with the smooth. Think back 3, 4 seasons ago. Enjoy. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
  18. Sounds bad - reckon he'll be gone by this time tomorrow.
  19. This is how I work as well, I have a co credit card for all expences and I book all of my own hotels, flights and hire cars. I have daily limits for food, but I'd be a right fat b@st@rd if I was to use the lot..! Unfortnately I don't have any booze allowance - but hey ho, can't have it all. Finding a decent hotel with free wifi these days is not too difficult, and at the end of the day, if you have to pay, then just pay for a couple of days during your trip. Funnily enough - as I type I am currently on business in the UK, in a fairly crappy hotel, on their free wifi....!!!
  20. Up until this month, I have flown to europe every month for probably about the last 6 years for work, generally staying a week at a time - sometimes longer. There is much good advice above but really it just gets to be the norm. I didnt use airport lounges although I did use priority boarding. Dependant on where you work the flight is not likely to be much longer than an hour and a half anyway - then you have the travelling before and after the flight. I was in a routine, so much so that I used to go to the loo at the same time after check in, eat at the same place in the airport and the like. As a business traveller you will grow to loath holiday travellers...!!! Hotel stipulations - free wifi access, free parking, decent food, generally clean tidy and that will do. If you get free wifi - contact with home is not a problem. It can be a lonely existance sometimes especially if you are staying over the week ends - but I enjoyed it, despite the pitfalls. If you are hiring cars - as I did every trip, take out your own independant insurance or check to see if your co has its own and dont forget to have personal medical insurance as well. As for the flying thing - lets face it its gotta be fairly safe - Derry never pranged one in 18000 hours...!
  21. Is this the Saints Takeover Saga thread.....????
  22. Me too, thought he was awful against Udinese on Saturday as well.
