A clue about what Cortese is telling transfer targets this summer...
Micky replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I don't see why everybody is getting their knickers in a twist over the OP - factually it is correct. With our resources, there is little doubt that we will be chasing Man City this season, pretty obvious really. That said - we'll probably by 16 - 18 places behind them at the finish, but we will be chasing. -
HELP - BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot
Micky replied to Micky's topic in The Lounge
My 'other' computer is in fact my work laptop so couldn't rig it to my personal desktop pc. But acting on your advice I went and got my Father in laws pc and slaved my 'faulty' hdd to that - phew - found all my files in tact. I then unplugged my FIL's HDD which defaulted my 'faulty' drive to master and his pc booted off of my hdd - it did show a quick error - but booted into windows nontheless. I then took my FIL's drive out of his pc and installed it into mine - low and behold - it wouldn't boot. Didnt get the same error code - but it definately was heading that way. Ergo - it would appear that this is in fact a hardware problem. Have removed all of the cards, drives etc and given the machine a good cleaning - tried booting without the extra graphics and sound card and used different memory modules all to no effect. Can't suss it. Not really too bothered now - all I wanted was the data and I now know that I can get that. On the up side Mr Mickys only option is to be sanctioning the purchase of a new pc .....! Result I guess. -
HELP - BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot
Micky replied to Micky's topic in The Lounge
Thanks for the help so far people, still had no luck with it though. Does anybody know if this could be hardware related - pc seems to just freeze after about 3 - 4 mins no matter what I am trying to do? A long shot I know - but thats how it seems. -
HELP - BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot
Micky replied to Micky's topic in The Lounge
Thanks pap - that's more or less where I started to be honest - but no luck. Cant get to the boot screen. Long story - but no Windows XP disc, No recovery discs (didn't realise I had to burn them myself - well stuffed now the PC has gone pete tong), can't get it to boot at all. HDD full of thousands of photos, large music collection and countless other documents and suchlike. Does anybody know of a good data recovery program or good data recovery firm and costs ...? -
Ahhhhh the shirt thread, on page 43. Impressive lads, impressive.......

I know that we have a few PC 'techies' on here - anybody help with this one? Vista HE. Have bought and downloaded Spotmau PowerSuite 2012 which claims to be able to 'boot any pc' - as yet it has failed with mine. Would appreciate any pointers please.

FFS GWC we were told only a couple of pages ago that this shirt has complete erased our identity - and then you come out with this... FFS.

One of the funniest threads I have read in ages - hopefully it makes it into the Golden Post section. Judging by some of the comments on here perhaps you should understand it is merely a shirt. The players won't be premiering it at a Versace fashion show in Paris, but hopefully sweating blood in it our opening game at SMS. It's a shirt. Oh - that from one of the older posters who apparently can't hack change...!

Isnt Andy Murray a scot, do we have any Englishmen in it, wasnt the last english guy a canadian really. What happened to Tim. Is henman hill still there or is it now murray mound...????

Ohhh right - used to follow tennis big time in the days of connors, borge and chrissie and all that - but sort of lost interest. Its one of those tournaments when if you see english success in your lifetime you could probably say that you have witnessed a true historic occassion - a bit like a man standing on the moon.

Whose playing for us this year - is it Andy Murray again. Have we got any female tennis players. Do we have any chance of winning it?

What a complete shambles our ticket office is!!
Micky replied to Saint_Donovan's topic in The Saints
Could be, but if so, a very short sighted and stereotypical view adopted by either the Club or TO staff. -

Thanks - saved me the bother. This. Totally agree with this St D. Polite, but forthright email to the TO explaining the problem. You abided by their (loose) T & C's when you presented yourself and documentation to purchase the ST, you then complied with the oral request and instructions that the TO staff made. Explain the fact that you now appear to have been charged (did you get your concession btw) and are unsure as to whether further proof is still required. If it was me - I would explain the hol plans, give them my mobile number, and request them to phone me to confirm the situation. Very shoddy service. Good luck. -
Personally I wouldn't want any player who signs a new contract and then heads off down the pub to celebrate - distinct lack of sporting professionalism methinks.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 255W - used extensively in Holland, Germany, France, Italy and Czech Repulic - never let me down.

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
Micky replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Thanks - but no apology is necessary. I understand that people get wound up on here but to be honest it really is not worth it. I rarely get too involved these days, if I'm feeling spritely I might have a dig at the forum gang now and again - but generally I sit quietly in the corner watching the action. I'm too old to offer these young lads outside these days, probably going a little senile as well in my old age. But if I knew where Dune lived - I'd go round and put his windows in or something. -
I really would prefer that you go the Watchdog route with this one so that we can watch it all unfold on TV....!

Me, correspond with Turkish - I think not. We spar occassionally on here but that is the limit of our interaction. Can't believe that you found my, one and only, post on this thread tiresome. Perhaps if I had just typed 'concept' and 'perspective' my point would have been better made.
