  1. Now is not the time to shun the media - conversely I don't think that we have actually done that at all this season. Cortese has learned his lesson. The media (Mr Paul Hayward) took a cheap shot and was laughed at by his colleagues - yet another lesson.
  2. Lotta noughts eh....! Classic Pompey Syndrome right there.
  3. Whatever happened to the 'Money Counter' that somebody here set up to count their losses - must be racking up some serious millions by now...!!!
  4. If anyone deserves - Kelvin does. Could've warmed his ass on West Hams bench for the last couple of seasons, picking up big money for doing naff all. Decided to stay and see it through (could have gone horribly wrong), so in my book has earned his chance. By all means - get a quality 2nd in, somebody who will push him hard for the position - but I would stick with him, either 1st choice or back up.

    Matt Jarvis

Geeze - it's gonna be a long, long summer. This is sooooo bad I might even try and get myself banned from here for a few months......
  6. West 'am, the big 'I am' - no fanks mate Birmingham City, potential money lauderers - too close to the blue few - not for me. Blackpool, Ian Holloway, say no more - NO. So it's Cardiff for me please.
  7. Personally I think we should sack him now and then get the big name in - not after Nige has lost the first 4 or 5 games of the new season.
  8. Errr nobody has been appointed yet - they have only been given permission to talk to him, and that probably hasn't happened yet. As Scooby says - this could all be a bit of a screen yet.

    Fat Sam..

I chortled too, not sure that it was about the same as you though.
  10. Legend.
  11. Really - this is the sort of thread that we see fit to start after arguably one of our finest hours for many many years. Some fool wants to slag one of the players off for not blowing smoke out of her ass. I dispair.
  12. Nice post Moff - I have a colleague who is a STH at the Ricoh and has been for many years - he is gutted at what is happening to the club. He works in a an office of 4, 1 of whom is a Saints fan - so the banter is going to be flying about for a while. Always thought Cov were a real decent club - tried to do things the right way and play the right way as well, great run in the top flight as well. Really sorry to see you struggling now, but as other here have said lots of good clubs have been there, ourselves, Leed, both Sheffield clubs - not so very long ago - the now great Manchester City were there. So all is not lost - you will come back stronger from this. As others have said, no matter what the score tomorrow, we wish you all the best for the future.
  13. Nope, definately David Ginola.....!
  14. No sweat Norm - glad you got them downloaded ok, hate to lose all those memories. Now back them up - twice...!!!!
  15. Hi Norm, TS, Pancake. I too have a PB account and have various different albums of family events (and a JPT Album of course!), but was just looking at this problem. Until I saw Norms post I had never tried to download from PhotoBucket - only upload so, like Norm, family members could access it and see the pics. However, you can download the albums; There is an option to download the albums - you have to put in one of those stupid verification code thingys which are barely legible Once you have got past the code bit you are presented with a screen that informs you that the photos are ready to be downloaded - but will only be available for 24 hours - and that you can only do this once. Anyway - I have just downloaded a small album (Old SWF page banner entries actually - remember that!!!) and it worked fine Personally though - I think I would also go with Pancakes advice. If you still have the photos on your PC then try to find them and index them correctly, and make back ups. However - if you can't find them - all is not lost. Happy to help further if I can.
  16. What Steve Grant said - far, far too important to chance it for this one.
  17. Personally, I quite liked the US speach - short, but to the point....! The British speech : (Lt.Col Tim Collins) "If you are ferocious in battle, remember to be magnanimous in victory, We go to liberate, not to conquer. We are entering Iraq to free a people, and the only flag that will be flown in that ancient land is their own. Don't treat them as refugees, for they are in their own country. If there are casualties of war, then remember, when they woke up and got dressed in the morning they did not plan to die this day. Allow them dignity in death. Bury them properly and mark their graves. You will be shunned unless your conduct is of the highest, for your deeds will follow you down history. Iraq is steeped in history. It is the site of the Garden of Eden, of the Great Flood and the birth of Abraham. Tread lightly there." speech : Vice Admiral Timothy Keating "When the president says 'Go', look out - it's hammer time" (Followed by We Will Rock You played at high volume)
  18. The only team that is going to beat Saints on Saturday is Saints. If the team that got us into this position turn up and play as we can do, then the deal is done. Nerves will come into it because of the magnitude of the game obviously. But beat the nerves and we will beat Coventry. BTW the fans have a massive part to play on Saturday especially if things do start to go wrong - can't underestimate the fans part in this. As Nigel says - togeather as one - that includes the fans.

  20. In light of the fact that TDD doesn't appear to be on watch - can I just say that you are a 'Wet Fanny', I think.
  21. With one game to go, against a team that has just been relegated, in front of a packed house at SMS - that would be your awe inspiring team talk, would it?
  22. Thanks. Sh it.
  23. Have to agree - it honestly looked like the gearbox had fallen out to be quite honest. Haven't seen anything other than televised and 'dodgy streamed' matches, so am not really one to comment too much. But apart from one good shot (off target) Guly didnt look great. Don't want to join the Guly bashers - but I would put Chappers in for next week if he is fit.
  24. I thought you were joking with your initial post about suing the ref. Do you honestly think that we would try to sue for loss of prem earnings - honestly? I accept that, as you say, you are only voicing your opinion. But can I just ask the last time that you saw a football official in a court of law answering to the beak?
