Well with Shearer in goal and Matt filling all of the other positions - got to be a winning 'team' surely. Strangely MLT appears to be miles in front of the competition at this point...!

I would agree with you that it is a very strange choice of clubs to invest in give it's current assets, there are (I believe) much better options out there, who are currently actively seeking investment. Perhaps it is that one jewel (The Premiership) that has clinched it for them though - it is not an easy place to get, right now, they are there - and as I said before, I think they will stay up. I really cannot believe that they have drawn another dud, the fake sheik was a complete farce - lightening couldn't strike twice, surely. Personally - I think they will be ok now. Oh and I hope that Paul Harte keeps his job too, because irrespective of his results, he has remained pretty dignified and boyant throughout the whole nightmare - fare play to him.

Strange argument given that their new owner, like ours, is a billionairre. He won't need to sell anybody, so will just have to hope that they can hang on to the shirt tails of those at the bottom until the next window opens and then invest heavily to preserve their premier league status. I would tend to agree with you. If you can stay in touch until Christmas, there is every chance that you can turn it around, so long as the new owners invest. There are some pretty poor teams in the Premiership this year (your one, obviously...! ), but there are worse teams than yourselves, luckily. Personally I think you'll survive - by the skin of your teeth - but you'll survive.
