I think that all of the gloating / banter might fast be about to come to a halt to be honest. If, as we suspect, the good Dr is about to put them into administration, it would appear that they have a very, very good 'get out of jail' card in the PS consortium waiting in the wings. As I understand it there are some very wealthy backers who would be able to invest in the club and take it further. So perhaps, all the talk of big players, new ground and considerable investment is not actually that far away. Remember that good old adage - he who laughs last, laughs longest. That said, I have never understood, how do you know who laughs last?

Errr I think that Paul Hart would put them in tomorrow if that was the case...! I think you'll find that they are deducted 9 points, not given...!
-
For thier sake I hope so because the fake Dr is a complete and utter disaster.

The situation is beyond laughable really. Why on earth did this guy buy the club - I really do not understand his motive(s). It would appear obvious that he does not have the required capital to run it on a daily basis, let alone think about trying to invest money into it in order to make it a success. I just don't get it - it doesn't add up - why would he give himself the hassle, there is no return to be had here. If he is forced to sell, surely he will make a massive loss, the whole situation is totally bizarre. As for the PL getting involved due to unpaid wages, surely it is the same as we experienced when we were selling the likes of Surman and McGoldrick in order to pay the staff, thus staying (the football club!) out of administration. That said - if Pompey were to now have a 9 point penalty against them, then they really would have no chance of avoiding relegation.
-
So to sum up then, you are willing to highlight others lack of work ethic and discipline to succeed, yet you yourself lack the work ethic and discipline to succeed because you can' be assed to find out how to bold it - bloody typical...!

Ya gotta larf...! Having never, ever seen him play we made him out to be a demigod, now after one full game he's garbage...! Us fickle - notatall...!!

Naaah - we all said that just so Markus would get his wallet out. Now he's paid we want instant mate, instant...! I seem to recall that MM at Wolves didn't have a great start - many of thier fans wanted rid of him - strange old world. -
No problem - an emotive night - glad you boys are back to put some real perspective on the situation.

No shyte sherlock - I wouldn't have guessed that...!

But surely those people are not allowed to post an opinion are they... what sort of forum rules is this... we want more hysterics from the armchair fans... more calling for AP's removal - never mind that old 5 year plan that we all signed up to at the start of the season eh...?

Two games ago..!

Reading between the lines - that is how I saw it too. I bet they wished that they had kept this one under wraps until the deal was done now that he has walked away, how much more bad news can flow out of Pompey. Not too many Premiership jobs come up over the course of the season - still lots of available candidates - very interesting that he decided to walk.

Tend to agree with this - I think there are yet more twist's and turn's to negotiate before this whole sorry mess is sorted out. As I type, SSN is reporting that the good Dr will inject 50 million in 3 - 4 weeks time. Surely if you are going to invest that amount of money you know when it will be available! Personally I think that the sooner the good Dr is consigned to the scrap heap the better, but I still think that there is something 'not quite right' here. Why on earth would somebody with no funds buy a trainset that needs constant stoking with millions of pounds - it just doesn't add up. Let's just hope, for the Blue Few's sake that either the good Dr has a major 'Master Plan' (Blueprint for Success, anybody...?) or that PS's consortium remains in the background and interested should (when) it all goes t i t s u p...!

Got to thank those that were at the game for the updates and opinions, great support. As for the driving debate - I'm staggered really. From the very first thread I had raised eyebrows - how easy is it to drive at an average speed of 85 mph over 4 hours - try it some time and see. As for those that regularly drive in excess of 100 mph on motorways - do so at your own peril. A wise man once said - you won't be killed by how fast you are going, it is how fast you stop that will knacker you. A bit like falling off of a cliff really - nobody actually died - until they stopped. I drive every month in Germany, and indeed many of their roads are unregulated - but thier driving habits are a lot different to ours, personally I think they are better drivers. They have much better lane discipline and thier rules of the road rarely mean that drivers are confused about who has right of way. I rarely see the 'road rage' sort of symptoms that you get almost on a 'day to day' basis in UK. However, I have also seen a guy go from 100ish mph to 0 in one second flat as he hit a stationary contractors vehicle that was advising that the fast lane was closed! Obviously I don't know whether he survived - but I'm guessing not. Personally, despite the stats posted here, I feel much safer driving on the continent and find that generally the boy racer element just does not exist.

Tend to agree with this. Yes they have made an appauling start - but win 2 games on the bounce and things look slightly different. There are some very 'average' teams in the top flight this year and so the points total for saftey could be considerable lower than normal. Hull look to be struggling and are in free fall, other teams could also get sucked in, Portsmouth may yet have the last laugh.

Paul Merson seems to think that they are relegated already: "Lose this and it's seven games without a win - and they've still got to play Manchester United twice, Chelsea twice and Liverpool twice. If they're lucky they'll get two points from those six games. That means they'll need something like 1.5 points per game from the other 25 games to stay up - and that's European form. Honestly, they are in severe trouble if they lose this one." Taken from this article: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,25212,15205_5580473,00.html

Whilst pretty amusing, it's actually a very sad state of affairs that he cannot be held to contract - unfortunately that is the nature of football I guess. Don't know, strange one, got to wonder if he has been tapped up though.

Stick KD at centre back, Jaidi goes between the sticks - problem solved. This managerial decission making is a breeze....!

We are unique...!!!

For those hard men here advocating the violence - fair play to you, fully support it, love to see a damn good bundle where somebody gets a good old kicking. But, please - don't associate it with football any more, don't associate it with our Club anymore. The fact that it used to go on in the 70's and 80's, well whoopee, so did smoking in restaurants and public places. That is no longer socially accepted and neither should be 'football' violence. By all means - go ahead, kick the shyte out of each other - just do it elsewhere.
-
Correct, it has - but only a few times, so once more won't hurt...!
