There is no fight or desire in this team so if it starts to go pear shaped early on it could well get embarrassing again. Our best hope is that VVD and Sadio take pity on us and ease up.

I think that any new manager would have to work largely with what we already have, don't think that the new owners will be 'investing' much into this team.

I'm struggling to remember too many games where we could say we were unlucky to lose, I'm also struggling to remember too many where we had lots of chances on goal and really tested a goalkeeper. Not only do we lack creativity, but also our strikers are all sub standard, snatching at, and missing, the few opportunities that we do manage to fashion.

At the end of the day, if it did happen it would serve us right. We had a chance to consolidate a top half position and, as last season, totally fucked it up. Unless things change soon, it's only a matter of time anyway.

Wasn't the reverse fixture our biggest win of the season so far? If our strikers hit form again it could be yet another win and 3 points. No, really, it could.

Didn't bother following the game at all today, was out shopping in Chester. First time I looked at my phone was while trying on some new 'kegs', we were on 90 minutes and it was one all. Down to my shreddies, my phone vibrates and instantly without looking I knew what the alert was. Frankly I can't be bothered to read this thread to see if we 'played well', whether we were 'robbed' or if there were other 'extenuating circumstances'; we are crap. I've just looked at the premiereship top scorers and nearly every club is represented, but not us. Even Pukki at Norwich has scored 10 goals. Can anybody tell me the last time one of our 'strikers' scored because I am struggling to recall. People keep saying we need massive investment, hate to disappoint you but it won't be coming from this owner either. Quite how so called professional players can clock off so early in a season is beyond me, they very obviously are not playing for the manager and that can have only one outcome. We'll limp across the line with yet another spectacular collapse, but come the close season the board need to take some very serious decisions. Next season could well be a very stern test, total dross yet again.

I think it actually suited the government, as well as the Premiere League, to not scrutinized Abramovitch too closely, given the amount of other Russian money invested in and around the capital. Not that it takes much investigating as a recent documentary showed, very dodgy wealth with some very unsavoury contacts. And now there's Newcastle. Does anybody really believes that their money is being solely provided by a private funding initiative? Money talks, doesn't matter how filthy, dirty, smelly it is, somebody will take it.
