Agree with you to a certain extent there. We actually got unlucky because immediately after the handball the ball went out of play, and so the referee knew he didn't have to make a decision about the penalty straight away. Had the ball stayed in he would've had to make a decision, had he given a penalty (which I think is probably quite likely), how many on field refs have been overruled by VAR?

If it was decided in the ground tonight the score would've been the same, the referee never gave the penalty, and the linesman flagged for the second one.

We can sit and blame the officials and VAR all we like, but you're right we need to be much more positive going forwards. But we're not, we stop, mess about in midfield and invariably all of our possession comes to nothing. I thought Redmond was meant to be a tricky wide player. He gets the ball and stands still, when was the last time you saw him try to take on his man, or knock it past him and run. His final ball in is usually crap as well, and as we saw tonight, when it does fall to him in the box he'll scuff it or blaze it over. Yes VAR and the officials did us no favors tonight but we were pretty woeful in the final third tonight.

For all our possession we created the square root of nothing. Villa were woeful in that half as well, they can only be better in the second. I have absolutely zero confidence that we have the balls to get back into this. Another loss coming up, our early season form has saved us this season. We'll limp over in 14th or 15th.

Went pretty much as i expected, not overly fussed, the league now has a more realistic view to it. Get another 6 points, 2 wins will probably see us safe this season. Job done, move on.

Another very good away performance, took the game to them in the first half and still managed to stay in the game until the last kick. Even with a weakened side we deserved a share of the spoils today. Given the players unavailable, it was always going to be a big ask. It's OK bringing Shane Long on when your one nil up and wanting somebody to run the channels, but when your one nil down and need him between the width of the posts, no chance. Hey ho, no disgrace losing to a very good Leicester side, upwards and onwards to the next.

Unfortunately I think it's going to be a long time until we see any points again. Liverpool, Leicester, Leeds and Arsenal will be very stern tests. Normal service is about to be resumed methinks.

Complete lack of urgency all over the field. Instead of playing to win, we play not to lose. We all know that Shane long will not score, therefore we used to rely on his pace to win lost causes, run in behind and make space for others. Unfortunately he does none of this now, so contributes zilch. A loss against the dippers will probably see us in and around our rightful league position.

We look done, WHU getting stronger and stronger. Only way we're winning this is if somebody can find some magic.

To be fair, there was no lack of effort or endeavour, just a great big hole in our quality. Given the players out its hardly surprising. The amount of times that Long was offside, in wide positions was criminal, offered very little threat. Didn't do enough, quality wise to get the 3 points.

We have a decent first 11 or 12 when they all play to their full potential. Take one or two of them out through injury and we quickly become pretty average. I wouldn't be too cock sure about winning this one, they will definitely fancy their chances.
