  1. If you watch it I think you'll find it takes a deflection off of Vestegards thigh. It's going to Alex's left but the deflection takes it the other way. I think.
  2. We took 6 points off villa last season, was a great away day where we were three up before Grealish got one for them. This was the game that they lost McGinn to injury as well. They have started well and added some quality this season, but all of that said I'm backing on our good away form continuing and getting at least a point. Same team as yesterday with Theo on the bench is what I would be looking at.
  3. This, all day long. His arrogance, not only in football terms, but also generally as a BBC employee is staggering.
  4. What the hell do these pundits watch, Redmond given MOTM and Dyer and Redknapp saying it was never a red card. WTF....
  5. Oh shit, really....
  6. Getting sloppy, giving the ball away all over the place

    Steve Davis

Top pro, hope he stays in the game, will bring a lot of the right stuff to young players as a coach or manager. Congrats to him.
  8. I'm a bottom man myself.
  9. Saw him play at both West Brom away and Wigan away. West Brow he was ok - set up the second, Wigan he was largely AWOL to be honest.
  10. Has this gone slightly off topic....?
  11. Was Harry Maguire really 80 million......?
  12. What a twonker that man is - he talks in 'major headline' tone all day long. Bloody embarrassing for a broadcaster.....
  13. The so called ITK'ers on this site couldn't predict the bloody time in half an hour from now....!

    Dunkirk

Couldn't agree more, closely followed by 1st May 1976. (that's got it back to saints related business..!)
  15. Doubt the weather with have any impact at all on matches this winter. In the day of modern stadia there is very rarely a pitch issue these days anyway. The weather problems are generally to do with H & S of stadiums and surrounding areas for the fans who are travelling and attending. As there will be no fans there, so long as the pitch is playable (which invariably it will be) the match will proceed.
  16. Could've been worse, could've got 4, city 5 - 2 down now..... another pen....
  17. Purely game management, we were one nil up, he's going to take as much time as he can. I watched it on sky and on one of his throws you could hear the Burnley bench complaining to the ref. At the end of the day, if you are one nil up away from home, your going to slow the game down at every opportunity.
  18. Agree with all of this, two very poor teams, the class player on the pitch made the difference. Thought Djenepo played far to close to Bertrand, perhaps he was worried about having to cover defensively and not being able to get back in time, but he was pretty ineffective all game. Positives, 3 points, clean sheet. Move on...
  19. Yes we will - when their respective contracts expire. There are not too many stupid agents or managers out there, unfortunately.
  20. After the first two games, i didn't bother to watch this one. I said we'd get stuffed, and actuality the score wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Somebody on the match thread predicted a 1 - 3 loss and I thought I'd bite your arm off for that. It beats me how so called professional people can't see what is so obviously going wrong, if we continue to ask players to do things that plainly they are not good enough to do, we are going one way, and one way only. The longer we persist with this madness, the longer the likes of Danny Ings have to mull over whether playing elsewhere might actually be a good idea. Give me a couple more games like this and I'll pen the Ralph out thread.
  21. If we continue to defend from our half way line they will murder us, especially if Vest is playing. Sort the fucking defence out and the rest will follow, but if we continue to try to do things that we are not good enough to do, we will continue to get mullered - again.
  22. I think one of the most annoying things over the last two games is that we've had time to get back into the games. But we've just ambled through the games with no urgency whatsoever. I know that Ralph always talks about being patient in games but while you're behind there's always a chance you're going to concede again. None of the players looked to bothered tonight, played the whole game one paced at 2 nil down.
  23. More a plastic bowl....
  24. Good to see us knocking it about confidently at the back....
