  1. Went pretty much as i expected, not overly fussed, the league now has a more realistic view to it. Get another 6 points, 2 wins will probably see us safe this season. Job done, move on.
  2. Any links anybody, the one above doesn't work for me
  3. Another very good away performance, took the game to them in the first half and still managed to stay in the game until the last kick. Even with a weakened side we deserved a share of the spoils today. Given the players unavailable, it was always going to be a big ask. It's OK bringing Shane Long on when your one nil up and wanting somebody to run the channels, but when your one nil down and need him between the width of the posts, no chance. Hey ho, no disgrace losing to a very good Leicester side, upwards and onwards to the next.
  4. Unfortunately I think it's going to be a long time until we see any points again. Liverpool, Leicester, Leeds and Arsenal will be very stern tests. Normal service is about to be resumed methinks.
  5. Complete lack of urgency all over the field. Instead of playing to win, we play not to lose. We all know that Shane long will not score, therefore we used to rely on his pace to win lost causes, run in behind and make space for others. Unfortunately he does none of this now, so contributes zilch. A loss against the dippers will probably see us in and around our rightful league position.
  6. Long, what a plonker.
  7. We look done, WHU getting stronger and stronger. Only way we're winning this is if somebody can find some magic.
  8. To be fair, there was no lack of effort or endeavour, just a great big hole in our quality. Given the players out its hardly surprising. The amount of times that Long was offside, in wide positions was criminal, offered very little threat. Didn't do enough, quality wise to get the 3 points.
  9. We have a decent first 11 or 12 when they all play to their full potential. Take one or two of them out through injury and we quickly become pretty average. I wouldn't be too cock sure about winning this one, they will definitely fancy their chances.
  10. I don't think there was ever an elephant in the room. A few getting overly excited of our early season form on a bit of a pipe dream. As it does every year, the cream will rise to the top, we will end up mid table, 10th to 12th.
  11. Respect the point. It's a measure of how well we've done this season that we are disappointed not to have taken all 3. But it's a bit of a crazy season, if you think you feel bad now how do you think the city fans felt last night when they could only manage a draw against WBA. All told I'm over the moon at our form this season.
  12. We're top....
  13. Quietly building a good reputation for himself at Spurs. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55300917
  14. BBC had him down as man of the match today.
  15. Gifted a point by yet another dodgy penalty.

    Danny Ings

Just been discussed on TalkSport that both Danny and Ryan are close to signing new deals. Great news.
  17. Beware the wounded animal, eventually they will win. That said, we had 6 points off them last season, they've struggled for goals this season, no reason why we shouldn't go into this one with confidence. 3 nil home win.
  18. Looks like we could be playing out last season in reverse. Lots of huffing and puffing but absolutely no threat.
  19. Footballers have been put in an impossible position. Yes, football is played in front of the masses, and therefore can broadcast 'the message' quickly. But ultimately racism is a problem of society not football. Why do we not see the cast of Eastenders and Coronation Street taking the knee before every episode, why not the news presenters, the panel on Question Time, millions are watching. Why has it been left to football to shoulder the responsibility of a society wide problem?
  20. Jesus christ, how bloody embarrassing. Is there nowhere he can go for help, because he seriously needs it. As one of the countries senior citizens I really do think its time to close down most SM platforms. What a bloody mess.
  21. Ditto. Always hoped we would get a cup tie at their place, we finally get them, at our gaff and we can't go anyway. Bloody typical.
  22. I think the only bed wetter is yourself mate. Most on here agree that we got beat by a team that played better than us and have much better resources available to their manager. Go change your own sheets.
  23. Got what we deserved, even at 2 nil they were miles better than us. When you look at the riches they have though we shouldn't be beating teams like them. What on earth does Long contribute these days? Will be interesting to see where we go from here.
  24. Absolutely brilliant player. Gone far too soon. Off to shake hands with the guy that put that one past Shilton. RIP.
  25. Will be good to see Theo v Luke. They have the better players, but who is the better team? That said I'm going for a draw.
