Things are going full circle...I've been in financial advice for over 15yrs and lenders are back to asking for evidence of why people want to remortgage - not a bad thing. There's a mortgage ticking time bomb that's about to go off in 2012...thousands who are sitting on their lender SVR think that it'll be easy to remortgage when rates rise - they're in for a shock.

I shall simply make a comparison to personal finances. When you use a small overdraft each month that gets repaid by your salary going in, that's manageable debt. When your pay goes in and you're still overdrawn, that's not manageable. You have to reduce your outgoings, buy Tesco Value Baked Beans and knock Sky on the head. You don't go out and sign up for a Gym Membership at Chewton Glen...again...and again...and again.... Saints did one thing, Poopey did the other. When we were in the sh1t, we made changes, whilst the blue oh-so-few continue to splash money on the never never. Oh...and I heard on the grapevine that Poopey have a new Financial Director. Arthur Sleepe.

The children of the baby boomers have it the hardest. Baby boomers benefitted the most from the property boom when property values went nuts. Case in point - Council Right to Buy - £20k in 1991. Sold in 2010 - £249,000. All for....well nothing. Meanwhile, their kids have to struggle to get a mortgage, normally based on a sh1tty income. Their kids are also the ones who have to get this country out of the mess it's in.

Ah well, it's strange but for some reason my only resentment for the move is that it's to Arsenal. If he went to Man U I could understand the urgency...but Arsene the Arse? Fergie would at least treat him like a king, you can bet your bottom dollar that Chambo won't even see the bench hardly next season. Great career move when he needs to play the games.....
