  1. Liverpool have got a pretty weak team out there - if we can do the basics and not concede early on, I do fancy our chances. Biggest little word though - IF!
  2. Unheard of phrase. “Thank you Spurs!!”
  3. Nathan Wood, Alex McCarthy, Fernandes, Dibling all played ok. Rest of the team were way below PL standard.
  4. 🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵 We’re so shit it’s unbelievable 🎶🎵🎵🎶🎵
  5. What a crap 2nd half. Spurs can’t be arsed and Saints aren’t capable. I wanted us put to the sword 10-0 and get rid of this total and utter arse of a manager. Can’t wait to see who he blames after this shit show. Total and utter garbage.
  6. Hurty noises. He doesn’t like them. 🥹
  7. Comfortable 2-0 defeat incoming. Liverpool have 6 games in the next two weeks so I can see them getting in front 2 up, and then bringing their subs on once the top players have won it for them. They’ll let us tippy tippy our way backwards and sideways, their keeper will be leant against his goal having a cigar, and we won’t threaten it in the slightest. Everyone’s a winner - we get more than 50% possession against them, they get all of the points, we don’t get hammered. Slot says RM has a great way of playing the game, made it really tough for them blah blah blah, RM gets his balls teabagged by another ‘top’ manager, and his brave Saints who he is so proud of go home with another nil points…
  8. Why the hell did no one close Cunha down? All backed off. Absolutely crap defending.
  9. Get in there, cracking finish
  10. Cruyff turns he invented. Russell will have a similar legacy. I’m sure the “Russell turn” will become a household footballing term soon enough. Meaning - “When a player receives a pass and then immediately plays it backwards towards his own goal” For special treats if you are lucky enough to witness three Russell turns in succession, you’ll have witnessed what is collectively known as “ A bravery”. In a Peter Drury voice:- “Oh look, Southampton have taken the corner, and in just a bravery of Russell turns the ball is back with Aaron Ramsdale on the edge of his area, simply magnificent football…”
  11. Well done Saints. A win. Take it happily. 😍
  12. Yeeeeeeessss. A win. Gtfit Saints 👏👏👏
  13. Get in there. Armstrong genius 😂😂
  14. We need a goal. Ffs get tall Paul on. Nope. We bring in a right back. Wtaf. 🤷‍♂️
  15. Great save Ramsdale.
  16. Manning 🫏
  17. Downes having a real off game today. Looks keen to get booked so I assume he’s not fancying the Wolves game next weekend. we have had a boringly safe first half. Time to take the shackles off and actually go for it and try and attack with pace and purpose. Time for us to have a good second half for a change. If we play worse than the first then we will definitely be losing.
  18. This is soooo bloody boring. No shots after half an hour. Russ - goals win games. Not possession.
  19. RM will be schooled by Dyche. Everton will get in our faces and close us down not giving time for tippy tappy stuff. We give it away and they go score. I can see a comfortable 0-2 loss. Man City want to play perfect football and score perfect goals. Everton will just get stuck in and win ugly and easily. Won’t give us the space that City did. We won’t be ‘brave’ and Everton won’t allow any ‘process’ nonsense. Goals win games, we won’t get any.
  20. Both talk a good game, promise much, deliver disappointment…
  21. I think that this weekend we have secured 20th place and we won’t be leaving it for the rest of the season sadly. Already 5 points behind Palace in 17th and 8 points off of Everton in 16th. Not even November yet and we are pretty much doomed. I can see why changing the manager would be a waste of time, even with a different playing set up, it’s extremely unlikely we could claw our way out of the drop zone. Poor recruitment in the summer has scuppered any chance we realistically had. Edwards, Woods, Fraser, BBD, Taylor, all summer signings, not one of them got into the pitch yesterday. Stocking our squad with mediocrity who can’t improve a 4th place Championship side. Never going to end well sadly. Typical Saints recruitment really - quantity over quality, who we will struggle to get rid of now.
  22. Deleted double posted.
  23. Detest is too strong a word I agree. I do dislike him, he comes across as arrogant and can’t take any ‘difficult questions’ without getting shirty with the interviewer. Just like I disliked Nathan Jones - another arrogant bloke - many disliked him without knowing him - just for the way he comes across. James Corden another arrogant bloke I can’t stand - but I don’t know him. (just like in real life, you meet someone face to face and normally you make an opinion on what they are like - nice guy, alright, bit of a knob, absolute twat). We all do it, subconsciously maybe, but we all do - it’s human nature. Ruben Selles and Ralph were never anything but decent blokes - on my human likeability scales anyway. Nathan and Russ Martin sadly fall into the arrogant category, not a trait I find endearing personally. Probably why Keir and Co come across as dislikeable too. Don’t hate them, definitely don’t like them though!
  24. You are one of the naysayers who are not understanding what RM is trying to do or build with Saints. You’ll be burnt at the stake as a witch for not believing in the system or process. The bravery and courage…. RM speaks such guff. Worryingly I think he believes what he says too. Total fraud and off with the fairies if he thinks his take on football is going to work. It isn’t and won’t in the top flight with a bottom four side. Totally deluded man.
  25. I wonder if Pep told Russell how brave and courageous his Saints team had been…🤦‍♂️ Just to give that ego a nice belly rub.
