  1. Great half Saints. Gave Leeds very few chances, no clear cut ones. Very measured and sensible approach. Repeat second half please 🤞. 🎶🎶 We’re halfway there…ohhhh living on a prayer 🎶🎶🎶🎶. Go Saints 😇
  2. Shit happens - but thank you for the kind thoughts 👍
  3. With 36seconds left until I’m served….sold out 😡🤬🤬🤬
  4. Terrible tippy tappy total toss.
  5. Possession is nothing without purpose…😉
  6. Bree’s cross - omg that’s woeful. changes at half time please. Get AA and Che on, get that useless lazy twat Mara off. What a waste of money he is 😱
  7. Che 😬 Mister sitter again.
  8. Good result, decent performance, I’ll take that 😀 Promising 👍
  9. You are correct. Smallbone is far more consistent. Consistently meh. If we go up I hope he’s nowhere near the team because he’s a nothing player. He’s lower midtable championship standard. Stoke was his level. Mind you if we don’t go up he will be exactly what we need as we will be midtable nothings too…
  10. I’ll confess my ignorance. I had to look up Cameron Hughes. I assumed he was some footballer I’ve never heard of. Worse than that, he’s a nobody I’ve never heard of 🤔🤷‍♂️
  11. Mr sitter he is….😉
  12. Who aren’t as good….☹️
  13. I’d say we don’t score enough with our 70% possession - 2 or 3 goals per game should be 4 or 5 goals. The issue is and has been for the last 4 seasons we are weak up front. Can’t take the chances we create and we fix that by buying a forward who was already broken, to not play alongside Che barn door Adams. Adam Armstrong has proved he’s a decent championship striker (which we knew) but even he misses plenty. Regardless of how we go up (which we hopefully will) we would need to buy two quality strikers to have any chance of staying up, which we almost certainly can’t afford and therefore our eternal create lots can’t finish them Problem will continue.
  14. The Saints manager and players are role models for kids of every age. I’ve coached boys from 7 to 15 and they sadly will copy what they see the professionals do. Being sporting losers (and winners!) is a great life skill for young people to learn. It doesn’t make grass roots coaches jobs easier when the role models act (excuse the pun) like kids. No excuse for it in professional sport, but a lot of professionals don’t think for a moment about how their on pitch antics willl be copied and idolised by the young generation. Don’t even get me started on play acting and feigning injury….(Fernandez v Fulham ‘injury’ anyone?).
  15. Smallbone you twat.
  16. Charles far too casual there. Got to concentrate.
  17. I hope we go strong for this game - if Liverpool really are struggling for experienced players, then let’s go for it. See how our playing style does up against a decent side. I’m hopeful we can give them a tough game and cause an upset 🤞 Saints to win 2-1. COYR 😇
  18. Aimlessly playing out from the back at walk speed, allows Millwall to get 11 behind the ball, no space to play behind them, no centre forward, 1 save from their keeper 2nd half, and at the end we are still playing walking football. Load of knob. Offered nothing, got nothing. Turgid Saints, down to you RM.
  19. Stephen’s with the touch of a Sunday league player there - should have been scoring 😱
  20. I agree that this season we are a great watch, lots of goals, nice football, exciting even! However we are up against significantly weaker teams than Saints, hence we look good. Go back up to the top flight and we will be the Swansea or Sheffield Wednesday that we have enjoyed playing this season for the top half teams next season. How much money we could afford to spend will be critical to us even having half a chance of staying up - THB, Downes, Fraser, Brooks, Rothwell, and I’m sure some I have forgotten (?) are all on loan. I’d say the first four are absolute must sign players assuming we go up. We also absolutely would need another striker to replace Che, and they don’t come cheap. Adam Armstrong is also a proven non prolific scorer at prem level so would almost certainly need upgrading too… What would the loan 4, plus 2 strikers cost to sign? £100 million +? Playing possession based football when you’re a top side in the championship is one thing, playing like that against top prem sides - very different proposition. Virtually every playing out from the back mistake would be punished with a goal. Last night we’d have conceded two from errors playing out against a decent prem side. This season is fun because we are the bigger fish in the pond, go back up and it would be a season long struggle with some absolute hammerings in it. I cringe at times this season at how ‘tight’ we play it out from the back and at the top table we would be relentlessly punished playing like that. I’m loving this season, we must go back up now, or we will lose most of our decent players and become also rans again like most of the championship. Fingers crossed for promotion, but I’m really not sure how we’d cope without a big cash spend and a little (lot) of luck! Lets hope we find out 🤞
  21. I think we are doing ok. In control, we will get a goal and go on to win. City are shit and offer no threat going forwards at all. Patientez vous s’il vous plâit.
  22. I’d have preferred Downes to stay on and Stu to go off. Downes had been very decent.
  23. Remember 1976 against a superior Man Utd side? Thank god some of you doomsayers and may as well give up merchants weren’t in charge back then 🙄. i mean last year - cup is irrelevant it’s about staying in the prem. This year cup is irrelevant as we are in the hunt for promotion…When exactly should we try in it then?! I give you Leicester and Wigan in more recent times. Bet they’re glad they bothered..!
  24. God this so disjointed 😬
