  1. Fact is the scoring charts for English players show Sturridge, Rooney, J Rod Lambert and Welbeck as top scorers. If less than 4 out of 5 of them go, maybe Carlton Cole or Peter Crouch?
  2. Carroll's total contribution this season is about 2 assists, a red card, and a lot of time spent off the football pitch. If he does something over the next few games fair enough. Although many on here seem to think Rickie is useless and past it now, I still think at this moment he deserves to go. A few more goals needed to cement his place though
  3. So what if they need a win? They've needed wins all season and failed most of the time as they're not a very good side. We should be beating them, simple as that.
  4. News today that United will let Hernandez leave in the summer. Realistic target?
  5. Exactly, how can we replace them with players who are as good? There is a reason the likes of Chelsea and Man City are linked with Shaw. He's top quality.MLG, who would you suggest as realistic quality replacements for Shaw and Lallana?
  6. What was his body language like on Saturday?
  7. Well if an FA Cup semi final and 10th place wasn't enough for me to switch my allegiances then that definitely is!
  8. Yeah I'm thinking of burning my Saints shirts. Going to follow Hull now, they showed us how to beat Sunderland. Can't wait to go to Wembley to wave my Tigers flag
  9. How's Mopos win percentage doing?
  10. Forget the last few games, forget Sunderland, forget about our 'misfiring' strikers and the constant updates on 'MoPo's' win percentage, let's get back to winning ways with a decent performance!
  11. Shaw won't go, Roy will play it safe. Cole has been a great servant bit he's had his time, and I'd be confident with Luke playing
  12. I still think Clyne is far better than Chambers at the moment. It's quite embarassing that I thought Glen Johnson was finished with England 4 years ago, and yet there still appears to not be many better options. Anyways, I'm not betting us to lose, we've been dominating games and I think it will comegood again tomorrow
  13. I'm not going to worry about summer transfers, just looking forward to seeing as many of our players as possible being given the opportunity to perform on the world stage. I really hope last night showed Roy that's it time to ditch the old guard, with the exception of Gerrard, who I feel has been England's most consistent performer over the last 10 years. Don't take Cole, Lampard, Carrick and Defoe as they've all had a chance and should retire and let some of the younger players through
  14. In an age of England players consistently underperforming, it's refreshing to see Lallana just turn up and play like he does for us. Glowing praise from the ITV pundits, he's on the plane and can't be too far off of a starting place
  15. How do you define 'struggling' though? Lambert and Rodriguez both have decent records this season, gone are the days of there being several premier league strikers scoring 25-30 goals in a season.
  16. I think you'll find the goals were only against Fulham, so they lose a lot of credibility
  17. We have to make do with him. Personally, I think Shane Long would have been perfect with Rickie playing off him, but that's not the way MP sets us up. I hope he's still here next season though
  18. The thing is, when we attack Lambo always drops infield, and looks to play a pass. The only problem with this is that he is the main striker. I'm still confident he has goals in him this season, would love nothing more than him to come on in a world cup game.
  19. Well he's got no chance, we've already been informed on here that our misfiring out of form strikers are unlikely to ever score again
  20. Sterling should go. You have to give a lot of credit to y Rodgers who has managed him very well. He's taken him out of the side for spells to avoid him getting burnt out, and in the last 2-3 months he's been performing at a consistently high level. At this moment in time, I'd have him ahead of Townsend, who has done very little recently, and is still keeping his place off of the media hype of his last 2 England performances
  21. There are lots of players who aren't good enough for England. But our players have earnt their chance and for me it'll be amazing if any of them get to play in Brazil. All of a sudden Shaw has a realistic chance of going too. If you look at the scoring charts, the top 5 English strikers are Sturridge, Rooney, Rodriguez, Lambert and Welbeck, so their places are justified. Next ones look to be Crouch then Carlton Cole and Gary Hooper. Are they better players who have had better seasons?
  22. Well, whoever it is,it they won't be good enough for anyone on here! I'd be happy enough with MP, but at the same time not overly bothered if he leaves. Di Matteo would be my choice. Thanks for the clarification on here that it has been confirmed MP is leaving at the end of the season due to his lack of appearances and shouting on the touchline on Saturday. Maybe we should try and get Mick McCarthy? Not the greatest manager in the world, but he is regularly seen shouting instructions during a game, as well as emotion when his team scores. Would definitely be a winning formula
  23. People on here thinking Clyne will be called up is nearly as ridiculous as thinking Jack Cork has a chance
  24. I've brought this up several times. We can go on about the front 3 missing chances, but their individual goal returns are all decent. The goal return of the midfielders is simply not good enough. Fonte and Lovren are more of a goal threat than they are
  25. Just out of interest, where do you think we are capable of, or should be finishing in the league standing? Do you think that perhaps we over performed at the start of the season during the first 10 games in what was a favourable set of fixtures, or should we have maintained our form and be challenging for a Champions League place?
