With the news the Cole is leaving Chelsea I wonder if this will bring them into the running for Shaw? I hope not as I want him to stay, but at least if it does it means 2 of the biggest teams in the league fighting for him and surely that will only mean a better deal for us?

Did a job for us when brought but our rise meant he just saw out his contract. Sure a L1 or L2 club will snap him up

And also Sanchez and Bony. Just shows the press don't have a clue. Liverpool aren't going to splash all their cash on attackers. That isn't their problem. They need defensive players. But I guess (Shaw apart) linking defenders with moves isn't as exciting as forwards when it comes to trying to sell newspapers.

If we have rejected Man U offer for Shaw I would have thought we will also reject liverpool a for Lallana. Can't see us rejecting one but then accepting an offer for our captain. The amount of players Man U have "put offers in for" according to the papers is crazy, close of £200m I reckon and don't even have a manager yet. Both teams need to focus on defence (Man U centre backs) as their main priority

If he were to leave why move before World Cup? Have a good one and you will be able to demand more wages etcc.. I think he will finish the season, have a hat with the family to go through his options and then go off to the World Cup. Why jump on the first bid made, he is an Everton fan after all........

Personally I don't really care who the sponsor is. As long as we get a good deal. Doesn't have to be a major brand to be a good deal people

It'll be interesting to see how much cash Liverpool have to spend. Apart from a back up forward for Suarez it's clear they need to spend at the back as it's goals conceded that may end up costing them the title not goals scored. I know champions league will add to their kitty but will they have enough for Adam too, especially when they already have Sterling Sturridge and Coutinho playing those support roles?

The bit about MoPo is good. We will know one way or another just after the season finishes so at least we won't have the whole of the summer him being linked to jobs (if he signs a new deal, which I think he will)

His speech will certainly give the journo's something to make a few stories from. Mixed to be honest, sounded a bit choked as though he knows what he will be leaving behind but then said about pushing on with the club. Give him and MoPo and Shaw bumper deals ASAP and let's enjoy the summer not fear the worst.

JWP, Shaw and Chambers are all a year too old for the scholar award. I expect maybe Reed or Sims to win it perhaps?

I don't mind it, just think it could be made to look a bit more modern.

To put it down at that level will not appeal to clubs either really, most loaned out players tend to go to Championship or L1 sides, so clubs will not hold onto their players to play them at L2/Conference level when they can loan them out to a higher standard still. The FA need to look into making a competitive and meaningful reserve league set up.
