  1. That is exactly it... as soon as the landing craft is readied and ship opens it bowels and the music starts... damn, goosebumps. I was pretty 'meh' about TP but that 20 minutes alone has surpassed anything else I've ever seen of the same genre. Incredible. I'm off to watch it again after Saints
  2. Possibly a mate who would be willing to lend you the money? Or family? :-o don't do it!
  3. A 'dutch communist' How convenient!
  4. Me, Myself and Dan Kerins?
  5. Cheers for that St Landrew though I have to say that whilst this was the first time I've viewed the show, I found it atrocious. Even moreso because a club with no links to the football league or the show whatsoever other than they are being relegated to it was talked about more than almost all of the other regional clubs.. ...but hey, what great fans they have, eh?
  6. Lol, yes, that bit!! _________ Ja-heeee-sus! Just finished Ep5, all I can say is the 2nd half.... bloody hell, in every sense of the word and the terminology.
  7. Well, having given some thought as to the language in schools idea, I definitely think it would be a really, really good move for children to be taught a second language in junior/primary as opposed to secondary school. Like benji says, I personally feel that at that I'd age I'd definitely be more enthusiastic about learning it but more importantly, and I refer to VFTT and ABTF's earlier posts here, that at that younger age, children do tend to absorb and learn much quicker. Secondary school had too many distractions for me, if I'm honest
  8. Loved this when I was young, still do now. Just realised the UK on the globe is bloody massive!
  9. Well that is heartening to know. Tbh, I wish they taught foreign languages in primary school, not junior - I might have even picked up another language myself! Like you say, kids at that age do tend to soak things up far, far quicker..
  10. Christ that was hideous. I'm sure they missed a trick by not renaming it Vanessa Feltz day. I could actually smell fake bake and clammy clunge through my laptop. And the ones that 'looked' decent... well, I bet that was as far as it went. After all, we live in the age of orange 'marketing and PR' career-woman types..
  11. Which is a bit premature considering he was knocking around infront of one man and a dog in the non-league and then latterly Reading reserves. I like Antonio and I genuinely think he has immense potential. He also has an excellent attitude on the pitch however I'd like to think he might at least consider signing for us if the offer is right for both parties...
  12. That really isn't a very good situation. I'd like to think that eventually each one of those kids can speak the native tongue through the schooling, but I keep getting the nagging feeling that the children are taught in their ethnic languages by bilingual teachers... ... I don't know... maybe someone can enlighten me here?
  13. Revolting club, absolutely revolting. The governing bodies should also hang their heads in shame as well - especially when you consider Luton's plight compared to Portsmouth's. F()cking revolting. Hope they die, but they probably won't now - especially considering the outpouring of love from around the country for the poor, embattled Portsmouth fans and their poor, unfairly treated club...
  14. If we're building a Champ promotion team as well as a L1 side, then I'd appreciate the following: Brian Stock Matt Phillips Michail Antonio Papa Waigo Ross Wallace Jon Parkin Ben Burgess Simeon Jackson James Dunne Darren Ambrose Moritz Volz Bradley Orr George Boyd, Aaron McLean, Craig Mackail-Smith Elliot Ward (any combination of the above is fine, all of them is even better) And outgoings to be: Wotton, Gillett, Perry, Thomson, Forecast, Lancashire, Pulis, Molyneux, Thomas.
  15. Yeah... thank you kind Sir. So that could be absolute hell if one party suggests one thing but others oppose it? And so forth? And what are the chances of a coalition government in the UK?
  16. Just wondering... can someone explain in laymans terms the definition a "hung parliament" forgive me ignorance, I just want to understand the true significance of what it means to the UK..
  17. Millwall's 'The Den' ???
  18. Here's one for the Daily Mail. Got talking to a Slovak girl a couple of years back. We hit off so I suggested we meet again - she very keenly, agreed. I of course was thinking 'oi oi' Anyway, took her out for a meal, drinks etc in excess of £150. We had a ball... on the way back to hers she tells me she's sorry, but she's got a boyfriend. I stood there and just burst out laughing. She asked me why I wasn't mad and could understand if I wanted to hit her (lmao :-o).. she just couldn't tell me after meeting me and that we got on so well... I just replied that the situation was so bad it was funny and that I'm not really the type to smack around a woman. We parted on amicable terms but she still texts me to this day to meet up with her again... Bloody slovaks, coming over here, nicking my lunch money under false pretences.
  19. I think maybe you've nailed it...
  20. Woah, the Flint gets my vote. She's 48? NFW!
  21. Just thought I'd pop by and throw my hat into the ring. I'm Dan Kerins.
  22. I owe you an email, RE: WW.... I will send this evening...
  23. The worrying thing about the BNP for me is that whilst many of us will not be duped by their more appealing public image, there still underlies many, many nasty and ulterior motives. I've read their policies at length and in my opinion, many of them are what I agree with. I like their emphasis to rid the country of unnecessary jobs, repatriation of immigrants should they CHOOSE to leave the UK (more importantly though, that offer nothing to the economy) and their ideals about being openly proud to be English (after all, PC-ism has gone doolally in some places). Though when you look beyond the nicey-nicey public image and scratch just a little beneath you will most likely discover more than just a few facist tendancies. Having read a lot on Hitler, the NSDAP etc I have to say I do find striking similarities - though Hitler was afforded the grace of a susceptible public who would openly listen to his beliefs and views. The difference is the BNP are not afforded this despite the UK's economic downturn and failure on immigration - so therefore they have to adjust their public image to suit. "Oh, we've changed". Er, no you haven't. :-o Make no mistake, IF they ever got in you would most definitely find what they claim to say in their manifestos and what they'd actually do would be two different things altogether. That said, I was disgusted at the treatment of Nick Griffin on QT last year... Whilst he may be an odious man, it was a public lynching and was a disgrace that other parties were given the opportunity to spend little time explaining their own failures but instead join in the public lynch mob. If truth be told, they should be taking a long hard look at themselves as it is because of their inability or lack of addressing policies that mean something to the British public that NG was on the show and his party are gaining votes.
