  1. LM is always upset when his nose gets removed from the trough
  2. The SCC have wasted far far more on significantly more stupid ideas and plans so I don't think this paltry figure should bother anyone. Plus, the potential for revenue from Tourism would be astronomically high. Having said that, I'm sure they won't stick around long when they've done their beans in West Quay, aviation museum and, er, the Tudor House.
  3. More money than sense it would appear as anyone can see that Portsmouth is a duff purchase and hardly a sustainable and viable business opportunity. Corpy, you won't get Al-Faraj... you are fooked, admit it.....
  4. Just read your explanation on the other thread, cheers... mind at rest now
  5. 4_5?
  6. That is sickening... so they **** up and the Premier League is readying itself to bail them out? Ah well, they'll still go down.
  7. Hell of a bowling lineup next year
  8. I hope sincerely he's not ill, but something tells me that this man is quite possibly the biggest, biggest bull****ter in the world.
  9. More fishiness it would appear. One story claims Al-Faraj stumped up the wages, another doesn't say who did - only alludes to Pompey taking a 'loan' http://www.arabianbusiness.com/569144-portsmouth-take-out-emergency-loan-to-pay-players LOL, as if they haven't had enough loans already.
  10. And he's overrated.
  11. This just gets better and better. Rumour I've heard is they've got less until the end of November at the very latest - and thats being optimistic. If no real cash by then, it's 'pop' time.
  12. Moritz Volz, George Abbey, Richard Jackson...
  13. He's a terrible manager, dunno what he's like as a coach though.
  14. Out for 4 again today. What is the point in him?
  15. Lmfao!!!!
  16. I keep reading over and over and over and over again that we need width. Well we have someone with the ability to play in the Premier League at some point (IMO) in his career sitting on the bench. Allegedly Joe Mills takes a mean corner, but to me he'll always be a left back playing left wing. Not quite the same effect as an out-and-out winger. Holmes pace, trickery and delivery would provide Lambert alot of serivce. AP, start using him PLEASE
  17. Lee Holmes.
  18. Lol. Anyway, for those of you who aren't aware - there is a comedy 'Carry on Good Doctor Fahim' now showing on Sky Sports 1.
  19. I hope he returns, he's one of the articulate and amusing pundits they've had on there. Ah well.
  20. Thanks everyone and fingers crossed for today, eh? Anyway, I know I was pretty much raking over familiar ground and as mentioned above, many people have already fashioned a positive opinion of NC however it's always nice to hear someone reaffirm those beliefs.
  21. Corrected it for you. Storrie is an odious paper envelope collecting man. He's as much to blame as GayBoy and Harry. It's not as if he couldn't see what was happening with the overspending. He's bleating he didn't know and it was out of control but did he say anything then? Nope. He was in the loop, all the time, pocketing a fat wedge no doubt as the deck of cards fell around him. If anyone believes his role as CEO kept him out of the loop with the maginitude of **** PF were getting themselves into then you've got to be seriously deluded. Storrie-teller probably even signed a few of the transfers off himself. Horrible liar making a mugging off the game, same as Kenyon etc.
  22. Just wrote a huuuuuge post on Nicola Cortese and for some reason lost it, though I feel inclined to share with you all what I wrote if I can remember it all. Anyway, I work with someone who knew I supported Saints and just today he found out the man behind our takeover was Nicola Cortese. He used to move in the same esteemed circles as Mr Cortese and I couldn't get in a word edgeways as he waxed lyrical about Cortese' brilliance. He explained how respected and how highly thought of Cortese was in the banking world (not just the banking world RL comes from and what we imagine.) He said Nicola specialises in sports management and sports investments and is the guy who points investors in the right direction to attractive and potential investments - hence how we ended up with Mr Liebherr - Nicola really bent his ear about the opportunity to be had at SFC. My mind was already made up about Nicola post-forum after hearing him speak so convincingly however my colleague reiterated that Nicola was articulate, well-connected (he will open and use alot of his renowned contacts for the benefit of Saints etc), engaging and how genuinely brilliant he is at what he does. As I said, alot of our initial impressions of Cortese are correct - he spoke with admiration about his personable skills and how quickly he is to 'tap in' to the local communities of clubs and listen, understand and deliver upon any queries/concerns they have (my friend didn't know anything about how quick NC was to reply to the fans forums comments and when I told him he wasn't surprised - commenting that is what NC is like, he's exceptionally good and receptive.) He said that the club will be run with a professionalism not seen for circa 10 years and will be viewed as a project and we need to recognise that. Saints will invest prudently and in relation to our status and turnover and will never be run aground again like with what happened before. He is the ultimate problem-solver and has been amazingly successful in practically all of his ventures and could see Nicola, with Markus' investment, guiding us back to the elite once more given the time and opportunity. He mentioned that to have NC meant that we have 'possibly the best person in the world for the job right now' also, which brought another little astounded smile. Anyway, I did write more and if I remember it i will post it but I just wanted to share with you all what i heard - and, essentially, what we already know. That said, it was a great way to start a weekend and I hope this gives you all a good feeling too. Now, another 3 points tomorrow and a seventh consecutive skate capitulation later and I'll be on the cola shots in Linekers to the early morning - happy days Have a good weekend all.
  23. this is quite possibly the funniest **** I've ever had to laugh at from that lot down the road, it's brilliant, like a comedy. we're two divisions below and we're averaging more at home than them we're two divisions below and we're probably averaging more away than them we started on minus 10, we're still on minus 2 and yet i am still laughing at them We've got a billionaire owner who will see that us through our ascendency and they've got a camel salesmen who doesn't know his arse from his elbow. Can't wait for when they go into admin and dear ol' 'Arry starts the 'cor blimey guv, nothing to do with me!' spin in tabloids. Gonna be a rootin' tootin' season folks See you soon, fishboys
  24. Surely if they are thinking of adopting this approach seriously then Graham Rix has to be the man to lead it. Or perhaps not.
  25. Big lol's at the moron who doesn't know whether he'd prefer Hart or Strachan.
