FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics
Crab Lungs replied to SO16_Saint's topic in Computer Games
Sorry it's taken me a while, here's the tactic, 19 games, 13 wins, 5 draws and 1 defeat with the tactic so far. http://www.box.net/files#/files/0/f/34105832 Directory: C:\Users\'yourname'\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\tactics -
I wonder how Gartside would feel if they said 'OK, you're right... two-tiered Premier League it is. Oh, and by the way, Bolton will start in the Championship. Good Luck!"

Anyone who watched Dodd's management of Eastleigh can safely determine that he is most definitely not the next Georges Prost... they were bloody awful! Anyway, let's see.... fingers crossed.

I loved reading that, part of me feels really happy for him fulfilling his dream - or at least having an opportunity to do so. Good Luck Aaron!

FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics

I, for whatever bizarre reason, like to reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally go in depth with my tactics and fashion a tactic that I would like my teams to play, no matter the opposition or league (though I do tweak sometimes.) However, I've just created a superb attacking tactic, standard 442 but lots of one touch, fluid, quick passing - for pixels, it really is a joy to watch. I'll upload it if anyone wants to give it a go? Very proud of my team so far. :-) -
Bloody hell, he's nosedived :-o

I must ask... what is your spec firstly? I am running about 141 leagues (with all players, clubs retained, lol) at the moment on a half decent laptop (dual core t9400, 4gb ram, windows 7, 2.53ghz) and the runtime between games is around 7 minutes, maybe 15 in total if you account all the farting around I do with the squad, training, tactics etc (I do alot!) What I'd love to have is a 8gb quadcore desktop for FM.... one day.... one day....

LOL, oooh, Corpy's touchy these days.

OK doke, sold to Saint_clark for no cost Soon as it arrives in Spain, I'll send it back to the UK (if you can PM me your address.) As for a charity - a Saints one is absolutely fine... might be one on the main board. Anyway, it's cool, totally up to you but appreciated :-)

I know... but to be honest, meh, it'll be a nice freebie for someone. It's not that I am swimming in cash either, just feel like I'd rather give it away then send it back. Stipulation is that it must be someone without a copy already though, lol. No hoarders.

Ironic that I just gave you some stick about having a pop at SI and my game crashed almost simultaneously

I forgot that my disc drive on my laptop was fooked, yet still pre-ordered FM a couple of weeks back. Needless to say, I had to resolve the issue by downloading my copy. Anyway, it means that somewhere, out there is a copy of FM2010 winging its way to me needlessly. So... If there is anyone out there who fancies a free copy, let me know and I will send it right back to the UK in its virginal condition! Rather it goes to a Saints fan :-D

Mate, yes, it's possible - just compared the Hamble ASSC squads with real life and FM10 and there is only a couple of the players retained (but about 18 youth players) kinda understandable really. That said, its possible to manage them (go to the link above and grab the data file from that site)... you can also guarantee that eventually someone will bring out updates for all these leagues so the real players exist. :-)
-
I retained every club possible with my DDT files (290,000 players!), made every league playable, updated Saints with Connolly, Antonio etc, made plenty of transfer changes and used a competition editor to be able to manage right down to Sydenhams Wessex 1. The new editor system using files? GENIUS. I am Fareham Town with a full squad of real players :-o This is incredible. :-o Thank you SI, thank you. I love this.

Neither can I. I know its frustrating for some people but this FM is such a huuuuge undertaking by so many people, to deliver what they do is nothing short of a miracle in some cases. The only fack up which you can half-pin on SI/Sega is last years Steam/activation code fiasco. But this time it appears SI/Sega have learnt from it and delivered a top product and a patch that follows straight after installation. Top work, SI.

Ummmmmm two things.... Matt Le God, if you don't mind!?!? Just downloaded from GAME - installed it, went to load the game and I get to the screen saying it's unable to run the came as it can't locate the disc. Now, do I have to use a disk mounter for a digital download? And secondly, I cannot find where I put the XML file for the update Steve has mentioned??? Any ideas??? thank you!
