  1. It's a tangential side point, and not a criticism in any way, but I can't help but read all your posts in the voice of Roger Mellie, The Man On The Telly.
  2. Absolutely 100% nail on head. The other constantly recurring theme is being utterly incapable of responding to changes in approach from the other team/ manager. He can't read a game, at all. It's the same pattern pretty much every game. Plan A: Pass pass pass pass, take a slender lead. Plan B: Shit, the other manager has made a basic change at 65 mins, the shape of the game has changed and now we're not winning anymore. I know, I'll throw on five attackers! I know under-12s managers who'd be embarrassed at showing that level of 'thinking'.
  3. Awful news for the lad. Sounds from Martin's comments like he was in a pretty dark place on discovering the extent of the injury. I'm sure the club will support him well in every respect. Hopefully the fans can live up to the word 'supporters' and send him good wishes too at what must be a horrible time for him. Wishing him all the best for a full and speedy recovery.
  4. Great result and at last the dominant 90+ minute performance everyone had been waiting for. Took our chances brilliantly, and one silly defensive slip aside didn't really let them have a sniff all game. Gutted on a personal level for Baz, but personally think Macca (if indeed it turns out to be Macca who steps up) will be just fine as long as we don't ask him to play out too much. Still think it's going to turn out to be too little, too late in terms of the automatics, but keeps it interesting for sure and Leicester and Leeds in particular will be a little more uncomfortable tonight and will be feeling the pressure. Fair play to the team and manager on a great performance and turning what many thought would be a nerve-wracking night into a very comfortable win, and good on Che for finding his shooting boots - he took both his goals very well.
  5. Zero. Whatever Leicester's result against Plymouth ends up being has absolutely no bearing on what we do, and the way that we defend means we won’t win enough games. It won’t even be close.
  6. We’ll go in 1-0 up at half-time having dominated the ball, played them off the park and missed several gilt-edged opportunities to put the match to bed and get out of sight. They’ll come out for the second half and equalise against the run of play with their first shot of the match. People will ask if Baz should have done better for the goal. We’ll continue to play at walking pace, dominating the ball in the middle third of the pitch while they sit and comfortably soak it up with two banks of four. Nothing will happen until the 75th minute as Watford settle for a point. Russ will then make four subs, moving Adam Armstrong to CF and replacing the wide players with Mara and Sully. None of them will do anything and then we’ll get done 2-1 in the 95th minute by Watford’s second shot on target*. People will ask if Baz should have done better for the goal. In his post-match interview Russ will say we deserved to win but he’s pleased with how we played and we showed great bravery and we now really really have to win all our remaining games and oh god shoot me (*a scuffer from Wesley Hoedt)
  7. Is he any good with his feet? Genuine question as I haven't seen much of Rotherham this year. Given his unwavering commitment to playing out, Martin would obviously only ever countenance playing a keeper who can receive, control and pass the ball well under pressure. Which for all his many, many other faults, Baz is pretty good at.
  8. Not sure it's fair to say he's been completely frozen out - he played against Blackburn on Saturday
  9. This twat of a ref is determined to send someone off
  10. Will this be the shittest hat-trick in history?
  11. That's interesting... can you elaborate or summarise what the players said at all, without getting into trouble?
  12. Old Firm derby is an absolute banger - now 3-3 going into injury time
  13. Our old pal Nathan is tearing it up at Charlton. Hired off the back of 12 matches without a win under Appleton, after an initial defeat his record since then is DDDWDWWDDDW. He's steered them away from relegation into the comfort of mid-table and the fans love him. He could have just stayed in Merthyr and married some Welsh bird but no, he wanted better than that. And now he's got it. Come on Rasmus, do the right thing. It's time to bring our boy home to take the helm for a front-footed, aggressive run at the play-offs.
  14. Kelvin got found out in the Prem but in the Championship he was sound and won us a lot of points. Then the Leeds game was just extraordinary by any keeper’s standards. Rarely, at any level, do you see a keeper win a key game like that basically on his own.
  15. After playing a key role in our relegation, and now our laboured attempts to get back up, he’s probably on track to be voted their favourite player of the century. I know a skate and he thinks the fact we keep persisting with ‘Agent Bazunu’ is hilarious.
  16. “We just need to improve in both boxes.” We’re in April and we still just need to improve at everything that actually matters in a football match then. Cool.
  17. Who's calling the shots and making that decision now though, with Wilcox out of the picture? Presumably it's back to Rasmus again for decisions like that, identifying and hiring the new DOF etc. Christ.
  18. Martin's never been able to coach a defence. Every side he's managed has let in a lot of goals. MK Dons fans said it, Swansea fans said it, and it was there in black and white for anyone to see. We hired a manager who's incapable of building a solid defensive unit and - surprise - we've shipped too many goals all season, with no sign of him either being interested in addressing it, or knowing how to. He wears his complete tactical inflexibility as a badge of honour and tells anyone who will listen that he won't change how he sets up his teams, so what on earth did anyone expect?
  19. Best Possession Percentages Not Converted Into Points Best Pointless Meddling With A Defence Best Inability To Save Anything Best Invention Of A Made-Up Position For Jack Stephens We’ve swept the board!
  20. It's odd that even off the back of that one game, other club's supporters can see what some of ours, and our manager, still can't after almost two years. Bizarre.
  21. It’s also one of the reasons you have a manager and their team of staff - to help the players psychologically and help them deal with pressure. That’s if they know how to handle it themselves, of course.
  22. Fucking hell, that's priceless 🤣
  23. The transfers engineered by recruitment guru Joe Shields, had just who joined from Man City, and who fucked off again pretty much straightaway afterwards? I'd suggest that Joe probably did some pretty good business himself around that time. *Cough* kickback *Cough* (Allegedly)
