Fonte and Hooiveld are not quick but not too bad. Maybe Forren is fecking slow? Anyway, it highlights the problem of having someone other than the manager brining in players. I've said it before but Forren was signed by the committee and does not appear to fit into the system. I have not seen him play for us (obviously), however almost all of the reports on him prior to signing said that he has many good points but his main weakness is his pace or lack of it. MP is determined to have a high defensive line and to press from the front, therefore a defender who lacks pace is not much good for him. Also, with the full backs bombing on and us playing a kind of 2/3 at the back, we will be susceptible to long balls played into the corners for pacey players to get on the end of. We played right into Newcastle's hands here.
