  1. Where did I say anyone is not allowed an opinion? Who did I call a traitor? Where did I state no one could have done anything for their country unless they served in the armed forces? You had your bite from me yesterday, when I read your post at the wrong moment (from my perspective); well done you. Hopefully one day, when you have grown up, you may come to realise that certain topics are very close to some people's hearts; for some very pressing reasons. For that reason they may get a little tetchy when reading immature diatribe on an internet forum. Well, none of us are perfect. And, if it makes you moist, please continue your pathetic, immature, posturing. Alternatively, I am happy to debate any well thought, reasoned, constructive, dialogue; but I will not respond to another one of your 'time of the month' trolling posts.
  2. What a bizarre question. I am very happily married to my Belarusian wife, so probably not. And, if I were not married, there would be a whole load of other criteria I would need to know before I could answer such a question: does she have big norks?; does she give good head?; is she a good cook and housekeeper?; what are her views on the Falklands/Malvinas?; etc.
  3. You're quite right. I apologise. She just caught me at a bad time and hit a nerve. I would, however, like her to explain why she feels an ex-pat should not have any say over the goings on in his/her country of nationality; or attacks upon it from others.
  4. That's how I see those transfers as well. I didn't notice anyone on here complaining about us signing any of them at the time we did. Mayuka and Gaston, at the time they were signed, were both highly rated and sought after by many clubs. Osvaldo was a regular Italian international. Not every signing works out for us, unfortunately.
  5. A very good interview, IMHO. Looks like we will find out who the new manager is soon; hopefully it will be Koeman or Yakin. Yes, we will probably sell one or both of Lallana or Shaw, but at least we are reassured that those funds will be put towards their replacements. Looking forward to finding out who our home friendly will be against on 9th August, and I firmly intend to be there!!
  6. Where were you in 1982? How long have you served in the British armed forces? How many times have you been sent to war to free British nationals, and British land, from invading oppressors? Who said England is not a good enough country for me? Just because I chose to live in another country, due to numerous personal reasons, doesn't mean that I shouldn't be able to have a say about anything to do with the UK. What the f*ck have you ever done for England/Britain/the UK?
  7. I think, for most, it's just a financial thing Tim. Unless one of them has a very well paid job both parents need to work here in order to survive. Also, in many cases, young couples live with one of their sets of parents as buying properties is hard to do here - mortgages are hard to obtain. So the parents and child/children often live in one room - until the grandparents pass on. It's just how it is here. Previously, of course, in the Soviet Union, people were given apartments to live in. Due to so many couples only having one child this is one part of the world where the population is in decline. In an attempt to counter this the government here have offered apartments to couples who have 3 or more children. I only know a few families who have done so. As for me, I have 3 grown up daughters from my first marriage and another one from this. Having now turned 50 I am happy to stop there. My wife is also happy not to have any more. She had been told years ago that she couldn't have any, so is very happy to have this one. Edit: Forgot to say - women here can have up to three years off for maternity leave. They receive a minimal amount of child support (about enough per month to buy one pack of nappies) during that time but lose it as soon as they go back to work.
  8. I am my, almost 10 year old, daughter's primary care-giver and have been so all her life. I love it!! I don't think it is hard work at all, just incredibly enjoyable. Not only do we spend all weekend together but she and I also travel (usually to the UK) without her mother. Last year we even had a two week holiday in the Ukraine. A bit embarrassingly, she acted as my translator - her Russian s perfect, mine is far from it - a job she thoroughly enjoyed.
  9. They can voice what ever opinion they want; but a national team should not be pictured in front of a political banner prior to representing their country at a sporting event.
  10. Politics should not be brought into sport. It is completely unacceptable that this happened. FIFA should, but won't, denounce the picture and punish the argies for it. (I agree, they do not deserve the use of a capital letter.) I am certain that something would soon happen if the England players were all standing a banner saying, 'F*ck off argentina; the Falklands are ours. Our 255 didn't die for nothing. Yes, we know more of yours died, but you were the aggressors back in '82'. Okay, maybe I'm a bit tetchy on the subject; but then I was involved in the 'conflict'. However, maybe I will change my avatar now the argie conyo has gone to Spurs.
  11. Thanks for answering the question. So, he was never really 'banned' anyway. Oh well, just when I and many other posters on here had thought the Mods/Admin had grown a pair (and then lost them again)......... The new username he chose says an awful lot as well, but hey ho......... Back on topic: My first choice was (marginally) Yakin but as he isn't on the list I went for my 2nd choice - Koeman; who I am growing ever fond of the more I read and think about.
  12. Sherwood is an out and out Skate. P.S. How come you were allowed back? Did you have to make any promises? To Mods: What is the point of banning people if they can just buy their way back? Many people said the site was better without Glasgow, but one little fiver and here he is........
  13. Like
  14. Alps is just upset that Saints won't be playing in his backyard again this year.
  15. Oh, I do hope so. As this year I will be there for the first game of the season, for the first time in many a year.
  16. Next Friday is the perfect day to appoint a new manager. I'm sure something important in the football world happens next Friday.
  17. I doubt that would include flying to the UK and back just to complete a medical and signing some paperwork.
  18. I thought Woy said once they had left the UK he wouldn't allow any transfer talks/agents/etc? Surely AL would need to have a medical in Liverpool if he was going there? There's no way he will be allowed to fly back for one. Okay, that could mean everything agreed and transfer would happen dependant on his passing a medical; but I'm pretty sure he will remain on Saints' books until after the world cup now anyway. So we may as well wait until after then to agree the price.
  19. How do you know this? Did you used to post on here under a different name??
  20. Glasgow, how come you were allowed back? Did you have to make certain promises? I guess the admin should no longer ban people. Just fine them a fiver and let them carry on as normal!
  21. Cheers The9, saved me from typing the same. Good post.
  22. Quincy Promes
  23. Not with me he won't. I always thought he was a self-centred back-stabbing ***t and he has never done anything to alter that opinion. I hope he is a monumental failure at Spuds and fades into obscurity.
