Sod's Law says 3rd round will be against Dinamo Minsk with the first leg (30th July) away. Reason being, I will be in the UK with my missus until 31st July.

Alternatively, a couple of you (who for some strange reason are vehemently against any use of video technology) continually fail to understand how it can easily be brought in with no detriment to the 'flow of the game' at all. In both cases yesterday (Pelle's wrongly disallowed goal and the non-penalty at Anfield) a 4th (or 5th) official watching a live feed could have easily, and very quickly, rectified the situation. It really isn't rocket science. Goal line technology has been a complete disaster hasn't it?
-
We were robbed again today. It should have been 7! Seriously though, simple use of video technology would have seen that goal stand - without interfering with the flow of play at all. It was instantly obvious on TV that Pelle was no where near off-side.

Excellent performance. Great way to sign off at SMS. Very happy for all who were there to see it. As for the front three, outstanding. Mane will get all the plaudits, and why not. Fowler's record had stood for 21 years; it will be a long time before Mane loses his. However, Shane Long and Pelle also played blinders. Villa's defence were poor be cause of how our front three played. Oh, and it should have been 7!!

RK wants quality and experience? Game changers, with real quality and experience of the CL and St Mary's? The Real hidden message in the Player Integrated Stripes Strategy videos? Our little Prince is coming home!!! Nurse, I need my medication...............

That is absolutely fantastic! Some real laugh out load moments. I love this club!!!

We could well finish 6th, although I have said for months we would finish 7th. However, should we finish 8th I would say, Well done Swansea; what a finish to the season you have managed to put together. Unbelievable.

Yes, I genuinely believe he deliberately guided the ball past the 'keeper with his elbow - and I'm clearly not alone in this belief. If you get a chance, watch it again. It certainly WAS 'really handball'.
-
Disagree. Had he pulled his arm out of the way, which he should have done by the rules, the ball hits his chest and Kelvin probably makes the save. However, the cheating Argie clearly guided the ball into the net with his elbow. The ball doesn't have to hit an outstretched hand for it to be hand ball. I do agree that it was virtually impossible for the ref to see that, but the lino did appear to have clear sight of the incident.

Why don't you think two inernational players, one of whom (the one you want sold) is only 22, cannot be coached into understanding the other's game better? As for your opinion that Mane should be sold this summer.... Well, we are entitled to our opinion, however wrong it may be! Mane has been our biggest threat this season and will only get better as he matures. We would be crazy to sell him this summer - in my opinion, of course!

Second week in a row that they 'didn't have time' to talk about our match. Last week I thought it was because Saggy Chops had requested not to have to discuss us. I doubt that Kevin Phillips would have requested the same this week (especially as they did have time for him to talk about being released by us as an apprentice). Maybe it's just that the production team are a bunch of tossers??

I put that one down as a draw. But had us finishing 4 points clear of Spurs anyway. -

As with many others, my top 7 is: 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Utd 4. Citeh 5. Liverpool 6. SAINTS 7. Spuds Unfortunately, I really can't see us overhauling those ahead of us. I have Hull, QPR and Sunderland going down; with Leicester, WBA and Burnley very close. I think it's going to be interesting at the bottom until the final day. It's nice not to be part of that! -
That'll do! Poor first half but still won; that's what good teams do. Shame to lose Big Vic for the next two games, but maybe it will make us be more attacking....... Excellent that Spuds lost as well!!! Well done to JWP and Pelle for finally getting on the score-sheet. Toby my MoM

Relegation I want QPR, Villa and Sunderland to go down I think it will be Leicester, Burnley and Hull Promotion I want Bompey, Brentford and Norwich to go up I think it will be Bompey, Norwich and Derby

I can't advise much about traveling in Oz/Asia but I would recommend she joins 'couchsurfing.com'. Even if she doesn't use it for free short term accommodation, she can always write to people who live in the places she would like/wants to visit and ask for advice. I helped out many people visiting Minsk in such a way. Quite often, people will happily offer to meet up and act as a tour-guide; especially if they get a free English lesson out of it. Plus, a good thing about couchsurfing is that you can see what other people have written about any person on there - just for peace of mind, if planning to meet them.

TV GAME: Aston Villa (H) moved - now on BT Sport

It would seem, all those years ago, the DFCSBs were actually ahead of the game........ http://www.msn.com/en-gb/foodanddrink/foodnews/what-does-squirrel-meat-taste-like/ar-AAa1NYw?ocid=MSN_UK_NL_MO35 Following its brief inclusion on the menu of The Cinnamon Club restaurant in Westminster, squirrel meat has become rather sought after. A butcher in Suffolk supplemented its dwindling rabbit stocks with squirrel meat earlier this month, selling out in three hours. The Elveden Estate butchers explained to the Daily Mailthat rabbit numbers were on the decline and that there is now a limit on the number allowed to be killed in order to keep the population stable. Hence the replacement meat, which has become something of a hit. [h=3]Why consider eating squirrel?[/h]Director of The Wild Meat Company, Robert Gooch, thinks that the fact that interest in the meat is rising is largely down to the novelty factor. His company sell a variety of game meats, including squirrel, and he was happy to supply us with one to try out in our own kitchen. People don’t often “appreciate the quality of the meat” he told us, since squirrels are “commonly seen in parks and gardens.” Robert added that, conversely, in the US squirrel is rather popular, and an American colleague also confirmed this to me. American chef Georgia Pellegrini says that it’s a particular favourite of the eastern states, and according to a 2011 report (the most recent) on the hunting habits of Americans, 1.7 million people in the States hunted squirrels that year. That's significantly more than the 1.5 million shooting at rabbits. “Squirrel hunting is more American than apple pie” says Pellegrini. [h=3]Cooking squirrel[/h]The first thing I notice about squirrel as I tried to section it up was the high bone-to-meat ratio, which isn’t surprising considering its small size, but makes for rather difficult work when portioning it out. A very heavy and sharp knife is required to cleanly and safely cut through the bones and cartilage. The main chunks of meat are to be found on the hind quarters, but there’s also a bit on the front quarters, and a small amount around the lower back. While cutting, I realised that there’s little bits of hair clinging to the meat here and there, which isn’t the most appetising thing, but then again, it’s no worse than a spot of unshaved pork. I browned the meat in a frying pan and then quickly boiled it with a bay leaf in the mix to finish the job, hoping to retain most of the flavour while not obscuring it. While cooking, a musty odour became very noticeable, though this is possibly the result of the meat having sat in plastic packaging for a couple of days. It did clear up after a couple of minutes. I tried to shred as much meat off the bones as possible, but it is hard going. Apparently the pieces are often served breaded in the States, much like KFC chicken. I can see why. You really need to get your mouth around a joint and strip it down with your teeth for maximum efficacy, but wanting to give everyone the chance to taste it, I carry on ripping scrappy pieces off the carcass with a fork and sharp knife. [h=3]What does it taste like?[/h]Strangely, the squirrel meat was compared with pretty much every other meat. “Tastes like chicken” came the inevitable response from a few people, but others said it was “light, a bit like pork,” or even compared it to lamb. I think that our collective inability to make a singular comparison tells us that squirrel has its own distinctive flavour. Personally, I would describe it as a light game meat that I would happily eat again – it reminded me somewhat of duck, and I wasn’t alone in that thought either. One person looked at the plate for a few moments before commenting that they simply couldn’t do it. “I just keep thinking of squirrels running around in the park!” Others were put off by the smell, but those who got past that found it quite tasty and most said they'd give it another go in the future.

Saints considering Micah Richards if they lose Clyne in the summer

How did he get on against Silva and Navas the previous week? -
An excellent, and well deserved, point. Chelsea should have played the 2nd half with 10 men. The ref bottled it. An excellent team performance; especially Mane, Morgan and Forster (although I do think the latter was partially at fault for their goal). p.s. how do we see who voted for who in the mom poll? I would like to know which idiots think that either JWP, Pelle or Djurijic were our best players today!

8th March as International Women's Day originated in Eastern Europe. To be precise, in the Soviet Union after the revolution. It is a national holiday in this part of the world (well, it would be if it weren't for the fact it falls on a Sunday this year).
