  1. Thank god we didn't extend the stadium when those on here were demanding it. The last few weeks has shows the backbone of our support, a bit of stormy weather and a large section are considering turning their back on the club.
  2. No you're not and funny how 'grey crab' posts on the same thread as 'Ludwig' immediately after his 3 posts ran out.
  3. A Watford fan, like yourself, would find Watfords training ground far more interesting, surely?
  4. I liked the bit about him not keeping players who don't want to be here and getting into disagreements with those who think they are bigger than the club. Seems like he's got one of those to deal with.
  5. Every time I see Ronald Koeman now I think of that scene from the Business, '"the Dutch are in the club"
  6. It'd be much more interesting if it was Watfords training ground, yes?
  7. Correct again Brett.

    Les Reed

He's letting the business do the talking.
  9. This is true Brett. I remember the days when people would be outraged if a team lined up with one up front, now adays it's the norm. 3-5-2 is the new 4-4-2/4-2-3-1. A few years back it's been suicide as the 'pacy wide men' would get in behind the full backs too easy, the 2 strikers would pull the back 3 all over the place etc. now it's the new fashion. Right up to the point where a team gets spanked when the pacy wide men get in behind the full backs and the 2 strikers pull the back 3 all over the place etc. 4-4-2 will then become the new visionary formation played by all the progressive coaches.
  10. I understand that is where the club see his long term future. If he is ready for that yet I'm not so sure.
  11. A few things you can learn from this forum is if you don't take it seriously and take the p*ss out of people it's because something is missing from your own life and you lead a sad and miserable existence, probably living in a bedsit somewhere and have a crap job with no social skills. It's absolutely not that case that if you take this place so very, very seriously, using it as a medium to engage in serious debate and voice your opinion, that you're a bit of a sad **** that struggles to cope with real life, perhaps using this place to air your so very important view because no one gives a sh*t about it in the real world. If you can get enraged by things said by people you've never met and resort to putting them on ignore, foul mouth tirades or stop posting all together, then even better, that means you lead a full and interesting life and are an all round great guy.
  12. I think 3-5-2. If this is the case we are going to need at least a couple of new strikers and a couple of centre backs. Clyne and shaw (if he stays) will make excellent wing backs. Midfield is fine. Can see a lot if in coming activity over the next couple of months.
  13. If anyone was in any doubt as to the ambition and substance of the new board then those fears have been firmly dispatched with the aplomb of sachin tendaulker dispatching a wayward off spin over square leg to the boundary and into the joyous crowd in the stands. This appointment shows strong and ambitious leadership. An appointment based on substance and openness rather than vague promises and pipe dreams. Its starting to become apparent who was the driving force behind the the Phoenix like rise of this fantastic football club. whilst they worked tirelessly in the background and others took the plaudits, it seems that now the self promoting ones have left their good work is continuing, even accelerating to a new level without the hinderance that was holding them back. I fully expect the want away players to review their position, however perhaps our ambitious and driven board might decide that too much water has gone under the bridge, too many bridges have been burnt and they no longer deserve to be part of the Southampton way. They may be seen as self serving and ego driven like certain other former employes who were ruthlessly disposed of. They too will be moved on on our terms, with the best interests of the club at heart and to bring in players that will not disrupt and deserving of being part of the future of this fantastic football club as we set sail on our new mission. The millstones of the past tossed into the sea and our onward journey to continue unabated.
  14. So in summary they are all rubbish, right?
  15. Sure now would be the perfect time for Crab lungs to reveal all that he knows about how terrible the new board are. He's been promising this expose for weeks but so far nothing. Come on crabbers.

Pat, you hate Les Reed and have never had a good word to say about him from the moment he walked into the club.

  19. And against that backdrop he still won the copa del Rey, of be delighted if he fails like that with us.
  20. Are the board still procrastinating our way to the championship?
  21. Shaw to stay?? http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/482524/Luke-Shaw-set-for-Southampton-stay-as-Man-Utd-eye-Blind-and-Chelsea-track-Schennikov
  22. Don't know, but it was the standard post career job for a 70s soccerballist. Used to see him in the Dock of the bay a fair bit in the early 00s.
  23. As would I.
  24. If Lallana had won people would use that as evidence as to how Hodgson got his team selection wrong.
