This is true about the site plans! I know one of the site team too and he told me that one. Another classic was NC refusing to wear any safety gear on site, saying when asked too "I am paying for this. I will wear what I want" people can say what they want but knowing someone who worked on the project pretty much from start to finish in a management role I was told some of the goings on and why the cost escalated so much, also that NC was 'an absolute c*nt' carry on dismissing it as made up from someone with an agenda though

I thought you said you had me on ignore?
-
Good to see the latest excuse being trotted out that the original design was done when we were in league one, so therefore assuming it's be league one standard but now in the premier league we need a premier league training ground. Ignoring the fact the plan was to be in the premier league within 5 years so the original design would have been based on that plan of being a premier league club.
-
One significant difference is Tottenham training ground was brand new. Ours was already there. So they built a new ground at a new location in a more expensive part of the country for the same or a bit more, depending on what you read, than it cost is to refurbish one that was already there. And still some people persist that it's the cortese haters peddling a myth that it was massively over budget as part of their agenda
-
You think "small detail changes" made the cost of the building work went from £15m to £30m?! That's a good one even by your standards Franco
-
Or the other way of looking at it is you asked for an extension on your house and budgeted £50k for it, but because you kept changing the spec, not paying the builder thus incuring penalties, adding things on that weren't in the budget, arguing with the builder, not forgetting changing the spec, so it took twice as long it ended up costing you £100k.
-
Lets also remember it isnt £30m worth of training ground upgrades, it was training gronud upgrades that cost £30m.
-
Is it just me that imagines something like the elevator in Charlie and the Chocloate factory? Where Cortese was able to smash through the ceiling, out of Staplewood and hang in air hovering over his kingdom.
-
Yes it is not that it be,you don't have talk in that stupid voice to me I'm not a tourist.

He wouldn't have done that, for the simple reason that Ralph's statement would have to be reported it as positive reflection on the new corridors of power at St Mary's. Strong leadership, leaders who are not scared to make unpopular decisions if it's in the best interests of the saints rather than protect their own reputations. Leaders who are more concerned with the club than their own image. Reporting positive news is not Ashton's agenda.

If Koeman is appointed would he be the biggest name to be manager of saints? Double champions league/European cup Winner, 4x la Liga winner, ex Barcelona and holland international, managed big clubs In Spain and holland with relative success. Only glen hoddle really runs him close. Can we go as far as to say this would be a real statement of intent?

You can't take posts praising the club and it's owners seriously? I wish I was surprised but......

 Very good.

Not sure when this has been moved. It's fair to assess the performance of the board, a separate point to his Interview.
-
No anti NC agenda alps. As I've always said, praise where possible criticise when needed. it's my view that Ralph has show brave and strong leadership to make an unpopular decision which in some peoples eyes might make him look silly. But he did it because it was in the best interests of SFC not Ralph Krueger.

Can only be enhanced by the sale of lambert to Liverpool. He said that no one would be sold until we had a new manager was in place yet lambert was sold 48 hours later. This says to me that after making that statement and then being given a big decision to make he was faced with two choices. He had the choice to turn down the bid, which was good business for the club, at the same time denying a well thought of player the opportunity to fulfil a final dream late in his career and risk being left with a Disgruntled player and to protect his reputation amongst saints fan. Or accept the bid and risk the sneering that would follow, perhaps aware they every pendant on a mongboard would Use it as a stick to beat him with He chose the first option, to act in the best interests of SFC and give the player the move he craved. He chose the club over his own status. This shows the strong leadership we were promised and the ability to make tough and unpopular decisions which might lead to fans using it against him. Well done Ralph. A strong leader more Interested in the good of the club than feathering his own nest. It's long time since we've had such a man at the helm. #inralphwetrust

Youre wasting your time dull drums. The people claiming liverpools 'storming' start as a big factor in why Surez didn't leave are the same ones who only a week or so ago were claiming Liverpool were sh*t without him and their poor start where they struggled for goals and only got narrow wins were no gauge as to how they might do over a season without him. If only people remembered their own posts and not everyone other people make. Mongboard gold as ever
-
Some of that is true but they say he's put in a transfer request which he hasn't actually done. He's actually doing worse by telling people he wants to leave and force his more through but not making it official. Wants his cake and eat it.

Me too Ade. The vast majority of them seem to be arrogant, spoilt brats. I guess it was naive to expect our players to be any different but I hopes they would be. I don't think anyone would begrudge him a move to a champions league club but there are ways of going about your business and as someone who had kissed the badge at every opportunity as well as talk about how he would love to finish his career here it's such a shame that one decent season and a couple of England caps seem to have turned him into yet another arrogant ***** who believes their own hype. If there is anything in the stories of course.

Maybe this is why he wants to leave? http://m.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/11251585.Premiership_footballer_Adam_Lallana_in_planning_row_over_sports_pitch_in_garden/

Thanks for posting Guan and it seems my faith in Ralph was well placed. Kat has earnt a right to expect patience and our support. Once the mess they inherited is resolved then we can look forward with optimism to the board dealing with things that are only positive and creative.
