He stated one of his reasons for joining was seeing the chapel Kop in full flow sent shivers down his spine, he said it was like a more passionate curva nord in Naples, calling Southampton the Naples of the north.

Best Excuse from a Part Timer for a Cup Final Ticket off ya
Turkish replied to JackanorySFC's topic in The Saints
There will be at least 2 saints fans in the club Wembley section I agree with you, had plenty of games but only one of them was at home so won't get one through the club. It's completely ridiculous that away games don't matter. It's not like they gave decent amounts of tickets to supporters groups either, northern saints just got their standard allocation for a match. Although club Wembley might be full of corporates the following are on the banned list Replica shirts Face paints Hats (no jester hats) Anything with a club emblem Foam hands So in many ways it sounds like heaven. -
I watch ALOT if Italian football, in fact napoli are my Italian team and I can tell you this guy is the perfect saints signing. He's get everything we look for in a player, plus £10m fee, runs around a lot, has got good hair, easily adaptable to fit one of our generic songs what with him coming from Italy and therefore no doubt f*cking hating Pompey! He's inconsistent enough that he'll have games where we can ironically cheer him, but good enough that some days we'll label him world class. one talent he does have is decent shooting from distance so our fans who hilariously shout "shoot" when a players gets the ball 45 yards from goal will be very excited by this one. Go get him Les!

I've got quite a few where I work in North Yorkshire and they all said we deserved the win and we're the better team, unusually gracious in defeat. The day after the game I had a meeting with a client in Newcastle who commented on how impressive the atmosphere was in our end and how great our fans looked and sounded. It was a decent effort form us and far fewer freak shows than we usually have at away games. Hat c*nt was there and even he was a bit less of a bell end than normal. Long may it continue!

Haven't you told them about your nickname on here?
-
That's sh*t. Fair enough season ticket holders get first dibs but why are they prioritising home games for members? Plenty of fans like me who cant get to home games (it's a 600 mile round trip for me) but go to plenty of aways.

There wont be any "cant be arsed" or family commitments, unable to get time off work, surprise great aunt birthdays, too far to go on a sunday, cant make it due to the roadworks, don't want to watch boring claudes boring team etc for this one. They'll all be out, even the historian will be there with bells on despite the competition being the greatest threat to our season. Personally I think everyone that could be arsed last night should be guaranteed a ticket, but they wont be. -
Well everyone is it??? The micky mouse cup many weren't arsed about a few years back as we were on our unstoppable march to take our rightful place in the champions league. Whats the view now?
-
And don't forget the atmosphere created by those brilliant Liverpool fans, another great cup night at Anfield. Then the scoring player, probably Lallana will talk with affection about his old club but he's a Liverpool player now and had a job to do and how pleased he is to be in the final.
-
I'd say more heroic failure. Van Dijk fails a last fitness test and we battle gamely for 90 minutes then lose in extra time with us having a big decision go against us, with us all left ruing our luck and claiming we'd have won if Van Dijk had been fit.

Club won't be replacing Fonte, gardos to get his chance
Turkish replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Gardos will be like have a new signing. -
We should Spend the whole game ripping into our new signing on his home debut who has come to replace him. Lots of ironic cheering when he wins a header, shouts of "FFS *insert player name*" anytime he does something that isn't brilliant. Meanwhile cheering fontes every touch, a few 'he's one of our own' chants and a standing ovation when he leaves the pitch is what we usually do when someone comes back isn't it?
-
Possibly. Just look what he did with Thierry Henry. Managed to coach him into being a very average winger who got his big move to Juventus where he struggled before Wenger turned him into a striker.
-
Nothing to see here. Clearly this is someone we've scouted for ages and profiled at length as we do with all our signings. We know exactly who we are bring in to replace outgoing players well before they leave so I'm sure Sakho would have been a target even if he was in Liverpools first team, the fact he's fallen out with Klopp and been banned for doping is just a coincidence.
-
We'll probably pass them sideways or backwards.

Personally I don't think the historian will ever be happy. He moaned when Lowe was here, he moaned throughout Corteses tenure and he's whinged all the time since. He hates this forum and everyone on here, he hates the way the club is run, doesn't like most of the players, seems not to like many fanshe described our League cup semi final as the greatest threat to our season!!! This is the bloke that I'm pretty sure when he's not organising industrial strikes in making a decent bit of coin writing books about a club he appears to detest from top to bottom.

Agree with most of what's been said one here. This place used to be brilliant, it had a golden era when there were loads and loads of brilliant threads full of interesting views, genuine ITKers, hilarious wit and informed debate. Ones that stand out are when it was claimed that Guly had a clause in his contract that meant if he was fit he had to play a minimum of 15 minutes a game. One of the greatest debates were around stadium expansion these went on for years, Sadly we don't have any more. Who could forget franks cousins drunken Sunday night rants, this place has been going downhill for years, Sue whistle has even stopped mentioning Italy on every post. No wonder the good posters have stopped posting and you can see why!

I'm serious. I'm absolutely sick to death of turning on the radio and hearing what "Jurgen" has said, or what Pep is doing or what Jose thinks. Bellend players earning 80 grand a week and refusing to do their jobs. Listening to pundits talk about which players one of the big five or six clubs so sign, how brilliant a 10 yard sideways pass was by Rooney. All the absolute cockend fans who follow these clubs but have never been within a hundred miles of the cities they play in, but wear the overpriced shirt and pay their sky subscription and talk about what "we" are doing and who "we" should be signing. How a defeat is softened by the knowledge that at least have got "zlatan" in their fantasy team. Go to china the lot of you and good riddance and take your celebrity refs, pundits, sh*t generic songs, banter, fancy dress, fantasy football and everything else with you!
-
Good! Let's hope all these greedy, mercenary players clear off there and the celebrity managers with them . Then the sky money starts to disappear and it all implodes. The premier league is full of helmet players, helmet managers, helmet referees, watched by helmet fans run by helmets. Maybe if all the "stars" clear off to china and the TV money dries up then clubs will start valuing the fans a bit more and we'll have players that don't throw strops like a teenage girl on her first period. Hopefully this will also spell an end to the fancy dress, wacky, mars bar on his head bantersaurusrexes that seem to attach themselves to football these days.

You did get to experience the fearsome chapel Kop at its most vociferous. Sturridge,,Lallana, firmino all terrified to go near the penalty area at the Kop end as the bile and hatred cascaded off the terrace.
-
But that wasn't their fault!! That was the crap stadium, the crap segregation and ticketing, the Belgian police, National Front who got in their end.
-
They are a wonderful club who are loved by everyone. All the neutrals admired them when they bravely battled for the title and were rooting for them. They've got great support and I finally get my wish to experience one of those great cup nights at Anfield in two weeks time. They are a club to be admired and respected. Enduring hardship with the grit of their fans and spirit not to mention the great scouse sense of humour shining through. PS Don't mention Heysel. That wasn't their fault either, that was the stadium, the Belgian police, the segregation, the national front, Chelsea fans who got tickets, etc
-
Destabilising them by putting out stories we want to sign a player that cant get near their first team? I'm sure we've enquired about him as we probably have lots of centre halves but I'd be very surprised if we spent £20m on him.
-
May I politely suggest that you're probably looking in the wrong place sir. As an experienced , regular contributor to this forum I am surprised it has taken you so long to realise. In addition if you "lose it" and "break down" about things written on anonymous football forum then perhaps they aren't the place for you.

Do we rotate more than other teams? I've found out so you don't have to
Turkish replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
Some interesting observations Duncan, may I ask if you have a girlfriend?
