I put on my best 'ampshire accent and shouted at him from a distance "Oi Brett" and burst into song "we've got Brett Ormeroid" That fabulous chant that was one of the staples of the northam c2002-03. He looked over and waved nervously as i strolled over in an authorative manor and asked him if there was any chance of a photo. I stood next to him, arm around him, grinning like a deranged chimpanzee whilst he half smiled clearly wishing he was anywhere in the world but stood in an M62 service station with some bloke in his mid thirties hero worshipping a now non league footballer whose best days were over 10 years ago. After i asked him for an autograph, for my neice obviously, it was straight onto facebook to share this incredible experience with my 10 real friends and family and 384 other people i think i might have spoken to once. 23 "likes" and 14 comments later and another fabulous and meaningful day in the life of Dorkish was complete.

We were paying £150 in our old house, a 1930s 3 bed semi, when we moved into our new house, a newish 3 detached our bill for the two was £85, result I thought, Scottish power said it'll be down to the Better insulation in newer houses, paid £85 a month for about 4 months which I was happy with. Then they decided to take £240 out in one go without telling me, so I rang them and said that my new bill is now £162 a month as they'd hugely underestimated our usage. Another problem with most young footballers is they have been told they are brilliant and treated like superstars from a very young age. Most of them are too arrogant or fragile to be able to handle a bawling out as you put it. Young people need a bit of discipline and a few knock backs on the way to toughen them up a bit and make them realise that they dont get given everything for nothing. Its no surprise that very few of the teenage superstars and new George Bests very rarely hit the heights they are told they are capable of.

True, I've long held the view that with the amount of financial experts and football experts this forum is an untapped talent pool for the club to recruit from. I think cortese is missing a trick by not recruiting from here for all manner of senior positions within the club.

Hes clearly a very talented player but I just can't see how he fits in an MP team. Our side is about workrate a closing teams down and that isn't Ramriez game. He didn't even get into the 18 last week and a telling game for me was West Ham, it was crying out for some one like him but MP left him on the bench preferring JWP instead. It'll be a shame if he goes as the flashes of class we've seen from him have been exciting but I can't see him fitting into the way we play now.

Is it almost as spectacularly simplistic as rely on stats and a rumour you might have heard someone as to the reasons why Schniderlin is so much better than current internationals playing champions league football?!!! Where is the evidence of wengers interest? There were a few stories of him complementing him but no evidence of a bid, something there was for Cabeye. As you rate Wengers opinion so highly then you've shot down half your argument as Wenger bid for Cabeye, he didn't for schniderlin, so he must rate Cabeye more highly. We're not taking about players playing in Italy, France, England and Germany! nice effort though. So do you think they if a team has more possession than their opponents then their defensive players would have less to do than their opponents, in terms of making tackles, blocks and interceptions?

I never said they wre like for like players but players listed as midfielders who are in the French squad. The Cabeye bid by arsenal was well publicised, yet all we have of wengers interest is your post. Do you think if arsenal made a bid for him it might make the news? Not really sure what point you are trying to make regarding Pogba, it seems you're saying because Man United sold him as a kid and he's now too good for Juventus that schniderlin is more deserving of a place in the French squad!!! Wenger also wanted Cabeye, a bit more than Schniderlin it would seem as he put a bid in for him. So maybe you should take his view over mine. Nasri and Ribery are there because as I said if you can read I listed the current midfielders in the squad. The current midfielders in the French squad are as follows Cabaye, Ribery, Valbuena, Nasri, Pogba, Sissoko, Grenier, Matuidi & Payet. All of which except for the Newcastle players are playing for champions or Europa league sides. Remind me why Schinderlin should walk into the squad?

Mayuka getting there? Based on what? I'll give you Yoshida, to be fair he was actually a decent signing for the fee so not really sure why I put him in!!

Ramirez, Yoshida, Mayuka, Forren. £20m worth of players spent in the last 3 windows who can't get at the moment or never got a sniff of first team football. We've badly covered ourselves in glory in the transfer market.
