  1. Did you live in Italy? I had no idea!
  2. You need to remember how some of our fan base reacted to Artur Boruc lobbing a water bottle against the advertising boards to see how much some people don't like anyone with a bit of fire in the belly.
  3. Did I say he wouldn't then?
  4. Okay Adrian, however you want it. There absolutely isn't a clamour on here to sign a £20m player that plays in the same position as Lambert.
  5. Are Roma skint? They seem to be trying to flog all their best players.
  6. Yep I agree, but that would mean changing our system, would we do that? It won't just be the first team that does that in that case as the whole point of 'the Southampton way' is everyone plays the same system throughout the club. You also then have 4 players in Lambert, Ramiez, Lallana and Davis whose best position in the same attacking midfield come deep lying striker role. With the way MP wants us to Play, high energy, pressure high up the pitch and that isn't Lamberts game. Should Osvaldo sign I'd be very surprised if Lambert started many games this season.
  7. Not trolling at all. Although no surprise its dismissed as that because people wont want to believe it. Do you think we're spending £20m in a striker to sit on the bench then?
  8. He's not mobile enough to play as an attacking midfielder, I could see him being a Sheringham type player but that would mean changing up system and we all know the Southampton way is to play the same system from the first team down to the youth, so unlikely to happen.
  9. We only play with one striker.
  10. We sure would have an impressive offense. FFS.
  11. You can't see the irony?
  12. If we sign a striker for £20m Rickie won't be first choice.
  13. I hope you're right, but for one thing MP showed no inclination to play him there last season behind Rodriguez, we won't sign a striker for 20m to sit on the bench. He can play behind Osvaldo and think he'd be good there, I wonder if MP agrees though? I can see him being used more as an option off the bench if Osvaldo joins.
  14. Very well said mate.
  15. Isn't it ironic that on a day we are so ecstatic about our hero scoring for England there is still clamour for us to sign a player who will effectively replace him in our first team.
  16. This.
  17. He better do, he's got a game on Saturday!
  18. You're right, scored on his England debut in a 2-0 win over France, was a saints player, moved to Blackburn the following summer.
  19. Surely this would be the greatest moment in any mans life, score the winner at Wembley on your England debut and walk off with the crowd singing your name. You couldn't write that sort of stuff.
  20. Genuinely brought a tear to my eye that, brilliant stuff.
  21. Well done Theo. great ball from cleverly.
  22. There are 10 others too.
  23. I agree. 4-4-2 is the way to go, none of this foreign fancy formation nonsense, get it long for Lambos flicks and Jermaine can pick 'em up. Get it in the mixer, get it foooooooorward early, none of this poncy messing about with it and a good English spine, these foreign pansies don't like a cold february night in Hull. Pace down the wing, nasty bastards In the middle and a big man to get it up to for the flick ons. Don Howe had it right.
  24. Another Adrian?
  25. Good shout. From what I've seen of him he also displays PASSION when plays. I reckon Lee Bowyer could add a bit of experience to the centre of midfield too. Go get him NC!
