This what we need and where we were undone a few times last season. If we're pressing high up the pitch then we'll need a player sitting a but deeper capable of stopping a quick counter attack.
-
Jimmy D gave me one for 'stamping on people's dreams' when we were having another one of those champions league discussions whilst we were in L1.
-
So 76% of tickets sold then. It seems that the excuses made by many not to attend in L1 and the championship are now a thing of the past. People must be so much more better off than in 2009-2012, the weather forecast for 2013/14 must be fantastic, no plans for any roadworks or train engineering works and no surprise birthday parties, weekends away or anniversaries for the whole of the season, which is good to hear.

If he runs around a lot he'll be a fans favourite, this is guaranteed.
-
Sadly not, it'll be about 5 games before a 'is Wanyama worth the money' and an 'is Lovern any better than Hooliveld' thread. Guaranteed.
-
I don't think anyone is are they? We're buying potential again not the finished article which is the way to do things, but Unfortunately a lot of our fans see the price tag and think a player has a set level of ability based on that. Already some are saying 'he's not worth £12m'.
-
Yep, that's exactly how I see him fitting in. If we get Banega a 4-2-2-2 would really suit us, with Wanyama and Schniderlin holding, Ramirez/Lallana and Benga in front and Lambert and Rodriguez up front. It would make us very narrow though.
-
There is that, but playing the post not the man, he has a point.
-
Don't really see what's wrong with what he's said,I like Rodriguez but Lampard has been a top player and one of the best midfielders of the last ten years, Rodriguez has a handful of decent appearances at top flight to his name. Usual stuff on here if someone tells it how it is, not the sugar coated version the forum wants.
-
Some of our fans said that about Steve De Ridder and Tanadri Lee!!!

A player who proves hard work pays off. Very limited player but hard working, strong and incredibly fit. Used to seem during the summer months running down riverside park and doing pull ups in the play ground area. The post from clash city saint is right at time he was the Guly of the era, I remember large sections of the Milton booing name when it was announced in the line up which prompted an angry reaction from him. He was also nicknamed SKUD, because his passing was as accurate as a SKUD missile used by Iraq in the first war over there, if you can't guess its because they weren't at all accurate and wild miss their targets, often by a long way, the missiles were pretty awful too. A top man though and typified saints in early to mid nineties after Nicholls 89/90 team was broken up, hard working, committed but let's say, limited.

Yeah always have a read of some of the stuff in there some good stuff on those sites.

I asked him why I didn't see them and why no one saw him 'swimming for his life' he said it was because he was an experienced snorkeller who'd been at it for years and knew where to look and how to react.

I think th t-shirt is by causal connoisseur pal, they have a website if not stick it into google and there are a few stockists on line. one of the lads who models their gear is a well know lad at St Mary's. Have a look here too http://thisisourculture.com/

Where did you see this Bessie? Plenty of rumours tonight is Banega and apparently in the South American press!!

Th thing that annoyed me about the Canadians is they all had their own pint sized beer jugs for the swim up all inclusive bars. I was surprised how fat they were too, I always imagined Canadians to be out door types. 'Big jug, big guy' one of them said. Which I guess is the swim up hotel all inclusive bar version of a fatty rubbing his belly and proudly claiming 'all bought and paid for'. I got chatting to one on a boat trip who claimed to be the greatest snorkeller the world has ever seen, reckons he went down to the wreckage we swam round further than anyone else and saw a load of barracuda and had to swim for his life, no one else saw that or him.

Went to Kefalos last June, loved it, really nice resort and lovely island. Kardamena is where the night life is and Kos town is worth a visit.

The Saints Squad as it now stands... where are the gaps?
Turkish replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Decent Cover at full back Still a centre back light, I don't think Fonte and Hoolvield are good enough and I like Yoshida and he's competent, but not a top 10 premier league centre half, good cover though. Width in midfield/attack A mobile front man, I hoped Rodriguez might be the man but the fact we're chasing a striker suggests not and it certainly isn't Mayuka Wen everyone in our first XI is fit and in form we have a good side, we are still another 4-5 players short of top 7-8 as a squad though. -
Good shout. If we sign a player from Russia it might help De Ridder. I know Europe is massive but only Germany and Poland separate Belgium from Russia.
-
I agree. He had a spell of about 8 games where he was very good in the championship but in the main was no more than a decent squad player. He obviously has the all important quality that saints fans love of running around a lot, a hardworking player, a decent bloke but people seem to think he was some sort of footballing god who was a key player.
-
It is, 100% true.
-
No one will know, its all speculation. We've made a loss and a poor signing it happens and it won't be the first or the last. Credit to the club for acting swiftly and dealing with the problem by getting him off the books quickly. Far better this way than have him sitting around collecting his wages and seeing out his contract.

You mean after this one, yes?
