I see John Bostock has been released by Spurs, another hot young prospect who moved to a big club to early and has damaged his career. 5 years at Spurs and never played for them.
-
I don't see what population has got to do with it. Uruguays population is smaller than that but it hasn't stopped Ramirez playing.

He wasn't a full international when he joined Everton either! Didn't make his ROI debut until 2011. Anyway, its not like Norway is some footballing backwater with a population of 7000 and all league games are played on gravl pitches. his central defensive partner for Norway is Brende Hangeland, he signed for Fulham from the Danish league, hardly La Liga, he was a year older and 26, but roughly similar age to Forren, he was a full international and he signed for Fulham in the January transfer window. This is where the similarity ends though as Fulham are obviously behind us and didn't have the brilliant strategy of signing players and not using them for 9 months, which according to some 'makes sense' he actually made his debut 11 days after signing and was man of the match (according to Wiki). He's a massive player for them and I think most people would rate him on of the best defenders in the premier league, I wonder how much better the transfer could have gone if Fulham had signed him for the following season and not played him for almost a year?

Are you sure pappy? He was on loan At Blackpool in 2009 and played 9 timea and has played 88 games for Everton since.
-
Cheers chaps. Anyone know if he's any good?
-
Any translators in the building?
-
He's 25 and a full international, if that isn't 'one for the present' then please explain what is.

I've said a couple if times Kone would be decent but youd think Everton would be favourites here. Why does it seem that we are linked with the same players as Liverpool every time?
-
I think Astori was mboard speculation to be fair. Monk posted earlier in the week that we had signed someone and it would be announced early next week but didn't know who. Some people on here said it was Astori because that would fit with him getting here Saturday between his games next week.

We are so bad its laughable. Always Looking for long diagonal balls into the mixer looking for a flick on. No one able to create anything and very one paced, 1985 Soccerball at its worst.
-
Do you play Sue? I genuinely had no idea.

. Adkins was obsessed by this and used to go on about. Vidic and Ferdinand are both right footed and it doesn't seem to have caused Man U too many problems over the years. Give me a big strong centre half who can head, mark and tackle properly first, worry about what footed he is later.
-
Why do people keep saying this? He got to the final under him in 2009 and before this tournament had lost only 5 games in 41 matches with a win ratio of over 50%. That is good by any standards. Again it seems to be another case of lamblasting the manager without looking at the facts.
-
I always rated Matt Oakley too, a lot of fans seemed to think he was crap though, probably because he didn't run around a lot which seems to be a vital quality to have to be a fans favourite.

Dean Richards Jason Dodd To add to the list

Why does gaston only ever play 70 minutes I here you say?
Turkish replied to Wrensup's topic in The Saints
To be fair he might have a point. If there is one thing you could expect the director of finance at Man United to know its the health condition of a Uruguayan midfielder who had previous played in Italy that no one else, not even the clubs doctors picked up on. -
His tales of giving it the big one in Martines would make cringeworthy reading now.
-
The bottom one is Phil Parkinson who took Bradford to wembley twice this season The 58 game defender is Jaidi Patrick colleter as others have mentioned He local boy? No idea, Nicky Banger at a guess?

He has a Clause In his contract that he only has to play a maximum of 70 minutes. FACT -
What is pretty evident from the links is a top class centre half is a priority for us, which is good news.

I had a little look at his profile earlier and every post he's made since the 27th of may have been about Me, odd.

10 out of 10. The obsession continues......
-
I think you need to also separate the two things Stug and get over you obsession with me. Read the whole thread and see my comments if you think I was relishing the situation or if I was enjoying having a go at the club. In fact you'll find on numerous occasions since yesterday morning I praised the club, don't let that stop you though you weird obsessed freak. I think that makes it 9 out of 9 posts and every one you've made since the 27th of May has been about me or in response to me. Weird.

Ok in hindsight maybe I did over react a little, if posting something on an Internet forum is an overreaction but thats another story. it was an emotive reaction to what I saw at the time as the club making life unnessasairly difficult. End of the day my dad is a big reason why I'm a saints fan and Saints are a huge part of my life. My brother summed it all up pretty well in his last post and although some of the stuff he talked about was before I was born, I'll never forget my dad taking me to my first game v Everton in 1985. Maybe now he has little quality of life I'm a little bit sensitive and over protective, which has other had suggested is perfectly normal given his condition and quality of life he now has. For those that have had a pop at me on this thread I hope you never have to watch not one but both your parents slowly deteriorate in front of your eyes, maybe if you did you might get it. End of the day it's sorted, the club reacted to whatever it was that spurred them to change their minds and come out of it well. It's win win result. My dad gets his season ticket, the club looks good. Anyway this is far too serious for an mboard *slips back into MLG is a tedious Helmet mode*

Southampton's 5 Best and Worst Transfer Signings of the Past 15 Years
Turkish replied to Rebel's topic in The Saints
ITs easy to pick rubbish players like Pulis signed when we had no money and there was plenty of crap then, but we were a struggling, skint, championship club who was scraping the barrel so I'm not going to include any of them so for me its... Scott Marshall - for those that dont remember a centre half signed by Dave Jones from Arsenal and consider a bit of a coup at the time. Was dire, played twice, scored 2 own goals and we lost the games 0-3 and 0-4. Delgado - enough said. Imats Bledilis - his sole contribution was to come on as a half time sub when we were 3-0 up at Tranmere in the cup, hardly get a touch and look totally out of his depth Mark Draper - spent his whole time injured and balls deep in a barmaid from the lizard lounge. Stuart Ripley - poor signing and a complete knob.
