Guly had 8 goals and 9 assists (I think) by Christmas in our championship promotion season yet still was a fans whipping boy because he was a lazy Jonny foreigner who didn't suit the English game and never tracked back, some people don't want to see craft and guile, they want EFFORT, PASSION and WORK RATE!

Exactly, there were numerous occasions during the season when he threaded through excellent balls but no one up front had the pace, movement or intelligence to latch onto them, 3 or 4 of those come up off and he's a creative genius with an eye for a defence splitting pass. Of course don't want that we want a creative attacking midfielder tracking back, working hard and showing passion FFS!!

Its because people think 'the premier league style' is running around a lot, lots of effort and above all else, passion. They ignore the fact that there are plenty of quality players, such as the ones you mentioned, who don't fit this style already. We need hardworking players who put a shift in, not any of these foreign nancy boys that don't suit the premier league. FFS.

So he'll simply be swapping guarnteed success in the England for a midtable scrap in Italy at a skint club in decline, the move would make no sense.

The committee didnt come into effect until 2010/11 season and even then Adkins made some of his own signs, Forte, N'Gessen, Chaplow, Bignall. If its committee signings being assessed then Lambert isn't one of them.

Even more concerning is the lack of smiling faces. Maybe Fontes article on the OS was propaganda and none of the players are happy. No smiles here, apart from Shaw who's now on £25k a week so he's got something to smile about and no smiles on the first dsy back at training. Lots of sadness and unrest in the camp by the looks of it.
