  1. People thought we were heading in the right direction in 2003 too. I don't see why people have a problem with raising concerns about things. We of all clubs should know not to be complacent and I'm sure Cortese doesn't mind, he is on record as saying he demands high standard, so why should we as fans not expect them?
  2. He is all of those things and more. He's so good already he is know in Denmark as the new Mick Harford.
  3. What gave you that idea? I'm worried he is fit, when I was visiting friends in Denmark last year I went along with them to see Copenhagen v Bronby in the Danish Superliga. He was superb, good in the air, excellent touch, a really powerful striker. He scored one, set up two and was unplayable. His hold up play was excellent, powerful in the air and clapped the fans at the end so knew he'd be popular with our fans if we signed him even if he couldn't cut it. a really excellent players and only young with a big future. I worry how we'll cope with his threat.
  4. Tough game even if we were at full strength. I fully expect the fit again striker to kick start his career. With a goal keeper who never makes saves if I was Makay my tactics would be shoot on sight. Cardiff will win.
  5. Highlight for me has been the emergence of Lallana as a true Star. I was critical of him at times last season and he struggled at times but the last 3-4 months he has really shown himself to be a player and a man of class. Great to see one of your own not only become a top player but also love it here and seem a top bloke. Ultimately another year of success, despite all the nonsense put on here at times about how amazing me are the truth was the priority last season was to stay up and this season establish ourselves as a midtable premier league club, we achieved part one relatively comfortably in the end and are well on the way to achieving part two. We now have first XI which will give anyone a game and if we can add some depth to the squad over the next two transfer windows there is no reason why 2014 can't be even better. maybe then we might even take the cups seriously without people panicking this will mean certain relegation.
  6. Haven't the press been salivating over us thus far and lauding everything we do?
  7. Why would I do that? Isn't 'the Southampton way' supposed to be so much more superior?
  8. You're right a team without 6 first team players isn't going to be as strong. However why is it trolling to point out that after spending £70m when we do get a few injuries we are still relying on championship players who were already here and proven time and time again they aren't up to it? A large chunk of this money has been spent on players who are on loan, not doing their jobs or not even better than those that they were signed to replace. It's a reasonable question because a few weeks back when I was criticised for Saying people were deluded if they think this squad is good enough for the top 6 I was given pelters for it. People were saying were amazing and the top 6 was inevitable
  9. Well said. The incandescent rage that people fly into if anyone dares to question anything that is going on at the club or have a view different to the majority is hilarious. Say something people don't want to read and you're a troll, saying something that isn't popular not the party line you have an agenda.
  10. It's very easy to blame individuals when all they are doing is pulling the shirt on and trying their best, playing at a level that they are not good enough for and perhaps even know that themselves. Maybe we should look at why after spending £70m we are having to field players that are midtable championship level at best. You'd think that we have a deep and decent squad by now and whilst our first XI is good when everyone is fit beneath that the chickens are coming home to roost. Ramirez £12m - rumoured to be going out on loan in January Mayuka £3m - currently out on loan Forren £4m - disaster Osvaldo £15m - the jury very much still out on this one Yoshida £2m - jos is considered better Gazzaniga - £2m just not good enough £38m pounds worth of players that are simply not doing or not up to the jobs they have been signed to do. Out of that lot I would give Osvaldo time and say that perhaps he will come good, even allowing for this that is still £23m of signings who are not what required or not up to the level that is required.
  11. You're like a dumped ex girlfriend who pretends she doesn't care anymore and tells everyone so but cries herself to sleep every night with her ex's picture under her pillow when it comes to Rickie at the moment.
  12. Beckham was moved on when started thinking he was more big time than the team........
  13. That's why we have a scouting department. I'm sure we could get an excellent left back for £10m. The Left back equivalent of Lovren.
  14. £30m would give us the ability to sign two quality players. We could get a very good replacement for Shaw and another player to make the team better as whole.
  15. Has Sue Whistle confirmed this? I resale don't agree with clubs of this said in any country loaning players.
  16. When its the same players making the same mistakes that has become their hall mark then you have to say selecting them is an error on his part. Gazza, well there isn't anyone else is there, but Fox and especially Hooliveld have been a liability at this level.
  17. I haven't seen any trolling on this thread.
  18. Turkish

    Cody Cropper

Americans make great keepers. Look at Stallone in Escape to Victory.
  19. 'Obviously floundering' So he actually dropped Gazza twice. So much for 'stubbornly sticking with him' Genius.
  20. Making stuff up again I see.
  21. Alex McCarthy for the young hungry and guranteed to improve keeper.
  22. If that was saints fans half the end would be reminding everyone where the club was 4 years ago and singing the Cortese song.
  23. Says the person that claims Adkins 'stubbornly stuck with Gazza' for 'several months', when in fact it was 23 days and 5 games. Says the person that claims the team MP had to chose from at the end of the last season was EXACTLY the same as when Adkins did. When in fact he had a fully fit and sharp Boruc and Luke Shaw with half a seasons experience rather than making his debut Says the persons that claims we are doing better now than when Adkins had a like for like team. Corresponding fixtures last season MP p4 w0 d0 l4 Adkins P4 w1 d1 l2 Says the person who claimed Adkins refused to pick Boruc, yet picked him and was sacked when he was our regular keeper. Said the person who claimed Adkins refused to drop Gazzaniga after losing us points at home v Norwich when everyone was screaming for him to do so, except of course he did. Keep 'em coming pal. You're doing really well. Go on, make something else up like you usually do when you're struggling.
  24. Ahh so now he didn't 'stubbornly stick with Gazza' at all! You're becoming a joke mate. So you think Boruc looked fit and in shape when he started against West Ham and Spurs? He may have been 'available' but he certainly wasn't the trim, fit and sharp Boruc that played the latter part of last season, where you're claiming MP had EXACTLY the same squad as he has now to chose from.
  25. I'm not quite sure what your first point is meant to mean. Secondly the point being that we played virtually a full strength team against Lowe league opposition in the FA cup 4th round. Yet we still managed to struggle along that season and finish 8th,
