  1. I know who you mean mate.
  2. He'll stop the conversation if it goes off the original topic don't you dare make a pointless comment if you happen to be watching a crap television programme together, 12 of them and you'll be banned from the house for a week.
  3. One of them that wants success and quality players but doesn't want to pay for it I see.
  4. The CoC have preaching to me.
  5. They would be Reading fans if they had Chelsea's level of investment and success. Also as a lot of these Chelsea fans go to Reading anyway don't you think even more would go if they had a bigger stadium and were more successful? It's arguable Reading could have more match going fans than Chelsea.
  6. A lot of people seem to be getting excited about this as if its in some way good for Saints but all it means is that the biggest clubs with the biggest income will still be able to spend more.
  7. sorry, what's funny about it? Are you saying Reading couldn't get a higher average crowd with a bigger stadium? How do you know if they didn't have a bit more success and were 5th like them they couldn't match Evertons crowds?
  8. A poor player froma bygone era. He is no Michael Antonio.
  9. All you people complaining need to remember where we were 4 years ago, we nearly didn't have a club to support!! Get your hands in your pockets you ungrateful whingers!
  10. But they dont have a chairman with the ambition and rescources of Cortese, a state of the art training ground and aren't planning a bigger stadium and play hoofball. We are magnificent by comparison.
  11. ALthough Readings capacity is 24,000 and their average crowd is slightly below this they are held back by their capacity. Their average would have been higher had they had a bigger staidum as they would definitely have sold tickets for the big games and also have a huge catchment area which takes in most of the midlands, thames valley and large parts of London. Theirr stadium is often 95% full so they need to expand. If they had had the same success as Man United and investment as Man City they would have got crowds of around 50000. Everton only get 36000 on average in a 40000 stadium so Reading would undoubtedly get close to that if they had a bigger stadiumd. In fact it's arguable that they have more match going fans than them.

    Redknapp

Yes, he was unfortuante to be in charge a time when we were in terminal decline due to the revolving door management policy and lack of investment into quality playing staff by the incumbent chairman. Redknapp was hamstrung by trying to turn around the fortune of a struggling team with minimal investment into the squad and being forced to sell our leading scorer from the previous seasons to finance rebuilding. Sadly for all concearned this was only destined to fail and the success he went onto enjoy at both local rivals Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur are evidence of what can be achieved when the chairman backs their manager fully.
  13. I think Cortese will price them in a fair and reasonable way like he always has done so that the right people can afford it and that we feel we are getting good value but at the same time paying for a premium brand product that reflects our status in UK soccerball.
  14. I agree with you. It's an absolute disgrace. Why should people be discrimated against because they choose not to marry. Or in some cases are so ugly, miserable, paranoid and pathetic they can't either get or keep a partner so are doomed to a life of singledoom. It's disgusting non married people are discrimated against in such a way.
  15. To be fair to Henderson he's started to look a much better player recently, got some of his Sunderland form back. Don't be fooled by the Talksport people say he's sh it so he must be bandwagon.
  16. I'm not one for overstating our players ability ala the 'Kelvin for England' brigade whilst in L1, but I wonder if Alex Ferguson might take a look at Schniderlin as a long term successor in the Carrick role.
  17. You know what, there is probably some truth in that. If people had abit more backbone and weren't so Lilly liveried being offended every 30 seconds then this country would be a lot better place. That the trouble, no ones got any minerals anymore and have to pander to every whim.
  18. Being gay isn't against the law, in fact so all encompassing is our society we invented a new type of partnership specifically for gay people to celebrate their relationships, we gave them equal rights as marriage for this type if relationship, but that wasn't good enough. I applaud the arrangement of civil relationships and I would suggest that in a day when marriage is not considered the binding arrangement it was with almost half ending in divorce civil relationships were a modern and more appealing alternative. Afterall, don't people often say that religion has no place in a modern society and the marriage arrangement was fundementally a religious arrangement.
  19. If he was that sort of bloke he'd have joined Tottenham when he had the chance.
  20. it's very clever from Cortese though. Agree to the meeting a few days before MLT's Q&A where he knows he'd be asked probing questions on the subject. Cortese then gets to cancel the meeting blaming Matt, MLT looks like the bad guy and Cortese can say he was happy to sort out their issues but MLT messed it up, regardless of if he had any intention of doing so or not. THe fans blame MLT and NC is internet peoples friend again. A masterstroke in PR from Cortese and very clever.
  21. Course i am Jamie, you plank.
  22. It's also possible to feel discriminated against when you aren't being, no?
  23. "Most of the people we know refer to us as ‘married’, they talk about having attended our ‘wedding’. We don’t though. We never have" So most people think of them as married, they have the same legal rights as married people, people attended their wedding. I cant see the difference.
  24. "that the same legal rights were granted to them as married couples." So it's exactly the same. No reason at all to think they are discriminated against.
