Northam for example 497, my season ticket in the Northam first season at St Marys was either 400, or 450, i dont remember which, but even worst case a relatively small increase in 24 years isn't bad at all. Centre areas little bit pricey but dont think anyone can have too much to complain about. Sure they will though.

He needs to look back 35 years or so. They’ve not done this well since Brian Clough days. Always liked Forest as a club, similar size to us and their period late 70s-90s was what Saints could have been had everything gone spectacularly well. Nuno done a great job there and let’s also not forget the job Steve Cooper did getting them up as keeping them there too.

Forest were shit in 2020/21 and shit for the first two months of 2021/22 where they then hit a great run of form, got into the play offs and got promoted by virtue of an own goal and penalty shoot out win. Unfortunately for your little hypothetical scenario you’re going to struggle to find a team that hovered in upper midtable all season and then got a lucky last day win to get into the play offs however much you might like to pretend it could easily happen.

They went on a great run winning 10 of their last 14 games to get to the playoffs and then a penalty win and an own goal in the final shows luck was also on their side to some extent. That’s the very definition of what you said about a team getting into the play offs and fluking a win.
