  1. I think coming up was the first Suede album post Bernard Butler. Definitely a more poppy sound. For me hard to pick one from First three as I thought they were all excellent but Coming Up just edges it for me for personal reasons. so Young is in my top 10 songs list, also love Wild Ones, Metal Micky, Drowners Heroine and New Generation. Thought they lost their way a bit after that probably because Brett Anderson was spending all his time chasing the dragon but Autofiction is a brilliant album. All in all though always been a big Suede fan
  2. Yep so a 15 year old boys academy team is a similar standard to an international women’s team, which was exactly my point
  3. It’s happened twice actually. The Swiss team lost 7-1 to an U15 team and the USA team when they were world champions lost to an U15 boys team https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/switzerland-alisha-lehmann-women-euros-boys-u15-team-974768-20250625 https://www.si.com/soccer/2023/11/10/carli-lloyd-confirms-uswnt-once-lost-team-15-year-old-boys so not utter bollocks pal.

  6. i remember when it came in, or Financial Fair Play it was called then and lots of people were excited that it would level things up, it was pretty clear though that all it was doing was pull up the drawbridge. There would be no chance of a wealthy owner buying a smaller club and let them challenge the elite. It's actually been worse than could be imagined.
  7. It's always been the case, one of my earliest football memories was Steve Williams leaving us to go to Arsenal despite us having been a better team for several years, the naive child in my couldn't believe that a player would leave us for a club further down the league. At least back then though smaller clubs had a chance us, Forest, Ipswich holding our own at the top for a while, even Watford finished second one year i think and got to the FA cup final the year we finished second. Soon as anyone shows any promise these days one of the big clubs hoover them up and that even goes down to kids with 16 year olds being poached by the big clubs making academies pretty pointless
  8. This is the problem all clubs have, Forest are a great club whove had a great season, European football next year but their best players being picked off my the team that finished 17th. It really is such an uneven playing field now.

    The Heat

An Amber Warning As Heatwave Grips Britain Is the sensationalist alert i've just got on my phone 😂
  10. The BBC coverage of the channel deal is pretty amusing, whilst the videos show 99% young men piling over each other to get into boats there was a lovely interview with two very young kids whose faces they didn't show telling the interview they really want to come to England so they can go to school and learn.
  11. These are the runners and riders in the race to sign for Saints!
  12. He not going to say he looks shite and we're going to replace him is he.
  13. As i mentioned before his departure from Saints before was under a cloud and covered up by the club. Most people that were here at the time have left but even so im Glad he didn’t come here not the sort of sort of guy you want around the club however good his rep is

    The Heat

It’s full of people who have been to Wimbledon, one guy looks like he’s done 8 sets with Federer, guy with a Grease haircut whose never seen grease and a very loud bird from Wakefield, the dynamic of a first class train trip

    The Heat

Can someone give me some warning please? What to do, what not to do etc? im currently waiting at King Cross where its a full on 28 degrees and they’re just told us to carry a bottle of water due to the extreme weather, thanks LNER 🙏🏼
  16. Watched PSG v Real Madrid and this PSG team is something else. Absolutely outclassed Real Madrid, there were a joy to watch like Barcelona 2008-12 with quick pass and move in midfield but then dynamic quick, skillful forwards who Real couldn’t live with. They are levels above anyone else right now
  17. International women’s teams get beaten by U15s boys teams so that’s the level we’re talking
  18. Ever wondered what the two would look like together? Wonder no more
  19. In the world of a man who starts multi threads on the same topic barely anyone replies too, the man with some of the most popular threads on the forum is a twat.
  20. Fricking awesome signing, this dude is gonna make at least a dozen and half goal conversions in the 2025/26 Soccerball series. Great work Southampton Saints, we brought this one home!!
  21. why dont you start another fantasy signings thread? You've not done one of those this week
  22. Looks like a thoroughbred to me
  23. Rusty has had a mare of start up in Glasgow, bet he thought they'd take to his philosophy at a canter
  24. it was on my list too, as was Love Will Tear Us Apart, maybe SOG and i have more in common than he'd like to admit 😂

    Diogo Jota

You don’t have to look very hard it’s all over Facebook and LinkedIn. A few people have made comments similar to mine and really upset them. It’s weird that they’re patting themselves on the back and labelling it class when it’s something most people would expect ant half decent organisation to do. As with most big clubs the local supporters are generally sound salt of the earth types it’s “massive reds” that live in Newmarket, Cirencester and Truro that have a shirt and never miss a game on TV that are nauseating. anyway it’s not about them, it’s about Jota, speeding or not incredibly sad. Two young men in their prime leaving behind wives, kids and parents
